on a scale from arcady to technical this game is very much a technical sim, you WILL need to learn it before you get any good at it and the ceiling to master it is higher still, but once you get it its a real pleasure whether its a 5 min sesh or hours. just dont blame the game for your own commitment issues...
Really good game, but the recent updates were not so good. Please bring back the rolling on L1/LB, or at least let us change our keybinds. And please fix the backflip animation. Also please optimize the game better. I’m getting frame spikes on my RTX 4070 even with the latest drivers.
Movement is tight and flowy, once you find a line, spending time to perfect it and finally getting it is so satisfying. Music is great and fits really well with the vibe and environment, which in itself is also really well put together, anywhere you go there are spots to do new lines and tricks, unlike the recent Skate which is the closest comparison I can think of. The control scheme in this game is similar to that but the open world isn't empty and scarce. Once you learn the controls and take the time to actually get used to them instead of complaining its too hard and complicated the game opens up even more and you can create your own lines, the missions do a great job of showing you basics and teaching you how to things then leaves you with ideas of how to implement them into your own lines. There are of course a few bugs here and there, but I can't think of a game that released within the last 10 years that doesnt have bugs, none I've encountered have been game breaking, they all just added to the enjoyment and gave me a good laugh. With a game so heavily centred around physics and having realistic body movement I'm thoroughly impressed by how well it works and feels. Following Storror on youtube for years and now they have this game, along with other major projects is just the coolest thing. If you enjoy parkour or movement games, or if you just like Storror and want to support them and show them some love, highly recommend this. If you are a casual gamer then be warned the learning curve will be large.
