«A pure enjoyment of being in the moment» No quests, no dialogues, only pure flight and rocks. And honestly? That's all you need. This game is an effective way to achieve a flow state with high risk/reward tension. You can just fly safely, but you won't get much of a score. Or you can take the risk and squeeze through that tiny hole. The closer you are to death, the higher the score you get. And... you will die a loooot!!) But it makes the experience even more fun - even some of the achievements imply this (easy to get 100%, btw) . For all of that, you only need one stick on your gamepad. It's so simple. The procedural generation of maps makes your experience different each time, and it is absolutely amazing. You should definitely try this.
For a game that’s supposed to be relaxing, I actually find it quite stressful. Still a great game though. Efficient time killer with no story of any kind to commit to; just you, yourself and your wing suit made of a material that explodes on contact with any solid surface. Very peaceful that is.
An easy to pick up and spend away some time project. This game immediately jumps to the eye as a student project because of many factors, like the simplistic concept, the generic but workable assets, or the not-so-in-depth features/general features without any kind of twist. Not saying those are negative aspects; this is a 50c game on discount and is marketed honestly without trying to pass as something that it is not. This review will be more directed towards where I think the game could be improved. The controls are fine but could be improved to make the flight more fluid, the flight mechanics work and provide a great sense of speed and adrenaline, the sense of urgency to get right into the gameplay is great, the procedurally generated maps are exactly what this type of game needs and make way for some great seeds and the individual maps could benefit from a more encapsulating design. The big change that could change completely how the game is played and that I think this game would benefit from is making the gameplay more forgiving, probably through the flight mechanics, allowing the player to spend more time on each run, really digesting the seed and its maps, letting the score increment more sequentially, and really dive into the relaxing tag. Fun, simple, and straight to the point.
Superflight is best 50p I've ever spent. Says it all really. The game is what I'd describe as a simple 'turn on and mess around' type game. You fly, you breeze close to walls and formations to score points, try to squeeze into tight spaces for more points. You crash. You crash again, and again and again ad infinitum. It has endless randomly generated terrain maps that it will seamlessly transition between whenever you enter a portal or fly too far out. You can even add your own seeds to the mix and save your discovered maps if you so like! Runs great, pretty addictive. Take you just over an hour or two to get every achievement if you care for them. No reason not to pick it up if the gameplay trailers interest you!
