If you like SUPERHOT and want MORE of it, this is it. It's just MORE SUPERHOT. The added weapons and powers are a nice touch. There's a few new enemy types too. Haven't beat it yet and I might not ever, I'm not super invested. Still a fun game though

This game won't please everyone. SUPERHOT is one of the best indie shooters ever. It's a near perfect game like Portal, perfect story content, perfect mechanic, and it never outstays its welcome with length. It has exactly as much content as the mechanics deserve, when you go through some of the challenges. I love the game. MCD is not the same. It is like a romhack of the original. It's a creative variation on the original that distorts it in creative and interesting ways. I think the devs were aware of this, because they frame so much of it in terms of "MORE". And that's what it is. If you enjoyed SUPERHOT and would like more mechanics, and more ways of altering the game. These are specifically framed as hacks, things like more health, bonuses to speed, or mag size, or attack speed, etc. If you enjoyed playing the endless modes and the challenges this game is for you. The biggest issue I have is the lack of new content. The new weapons and features are all incredible. I could play even more of this one than the original. But the story of the original and things like the groups animation were great. Each level was great, and not only that, the enemy placement was great, it was designed to maximise each encounter. This one is more like all endless. The encounters are designed to maximise replayability, because you will replay them a lot, but there is less map variety, less creative placement of enemies. What is here is meat and potatoes as a way to enjoy the romhack style play, but nothing as crafted as "Make him fly" or "YOU MISSED" or the levels with cars. But some of the MORE is perfect in terms of addition to the game. Getting to recall a katana telekinetically feels awesome. Having throwing stars and knives, great. Being able to chain charge attacks, great. The pneumatic gun? I love every game that includes something like that, the first one I ever saw was probably FEAR when I noticed the stakes out of the walls. This one builds on the concept. You can fire a pneumatic stake at an enemy, then you can grab that stake from where it sticks and throw it into another enemy. It's incredible. So it's a great romhack to a perfect game but if you're looking for a sequel, you won't necessarily find it here. Still, very much worth your time.

It's more SUPERHOT, which is the upside, and also the problem. Despite all of the abilities and power-ups added to the game, the experience of playing the game is just like the first game, but lengthened out to the point of repetition. Mild recommendation only if you've played SUPERHOT and are just itching for more. What we really need is more SUPERHOT VR.

I never played the original or any other SUPERHOT game that might exist. So it was all completely new for me. The idea that your enemies only move when you move is creative and great. It does feel a bit weird at first, but it's easy enough to get a feel for it. The main issue is the repetitiveness; pretty much every hour playing this game looks and feels almost exactly the same. There are a few new power-ups and enemies as you get further into the game, but nothing big. Another thing that bothered me was the almost complete lack of music. I think this game goes perfectly with music, although turning on my own music did mostly fix this aspect. There is also a bit of a story, which I think could fit well for this type of game, but I wasn't really feeling this one. Overall, I feel like they had a good base with the core mechanics but didn't build enough on them it turn this game into anything more than some quick fun.

It's like the first SUPERHOT, but more challenging and with some power-ups to change up the gameplay. Would've been a 10 if it was just that. It was still really fun but the levels were very repetitive after the first few hours. Not only that, but the ending required the game to be on for 2.5 real-time hours (used to be 8 hours) just to unlock a very anticlimatic resolution. Still a solid game with fun gameplay nonetheless, 7/10.
