I only bought this game because I liked fatal bullet. (Dimps also made fatal bullet) Im leaving the review positive because all of this just stems from comparing it to fatal bullet. things I dont like: enemies dont drop xp on death (its awarded via quests/missions). they only drop temporary buffs which arent fun because theyre temporary. weapon drops are based on player rank, you will never get a big upgrade, only constant small upgrades. a goblin you kill in 1 hit will drop the same weapons as a boss that takes 20 people 30 minutes to kill, aside from its rarity. this makes loot boring. gameplay feels instanced unlike fatal bullet. everything is do a mission and then go back to lobby. in fatal bullet it felt like you explored the map and could stay to grind as long as you felt like it. Even the free roam mode... you go in do like 3 missions in 10-20 minutes and go back to lobby to reset them. Grinding just feels bad this way. no character stats to distribute. its all based on your equipment. making a "build" is entirely changing the RNG stats on equipment, unlike fatal bullet distributing stats and unlocking skills like an RPG. Now builds are basically made the same way gacha games are. combat for most characters is like a gacha game. gun characters have a range of like 30-50 feet, and have melee skills that hardly ever hit the intended targets. LLENN usually misses most of her ultimate for example. some modes you dont even use your own character stats, you just level up in that mode like you are playing a moba or something. i really would have just preferred fatal bullet 2. Please make a GGO game thats designed like an shooting RPG/MMORPG like fatal bullet was, not a gacha.

I wonder why i buy this game... maybe just an aspiration of support. - Story is not interesting at all, the way character meets is so forced and pushed immaturely without proper storytelling. Happened since last recollectioon. (You may feels like the game is developed with limited budget + tight timeline) - Gameplay is fun, but getting bored after 8 hours because it is repetitive, The grind feels empty because its resets.. SAO integral factor has better mechanic buying this game feels like we support them to make SAO game "again" in the future, they still adapting with unreal engine... Im gonna say this is more like charity for them so they can continue... rather than buying the game for "current fun"

As a lover of SAO. This is your dreamboat. You ought to do research however as this game is still a live-service. Making it a complicated mixed-bag for some fans. Especially if you are not a console gamer. Don't expect full lobbies at this point in time. They may curate this game in the future I expect until the PS6 release. Please keep in mind it's keeping the Asian audience in mind. Reona is the star player along with Kirito. You get to hear her awesome music and concerts online. You also get the chance to try new things and meet people you'd otherwise wouldn't expect. The discord servers are active. As of today I can't recommend this game for everyone. As it was a impulsive buy after watching the Nintendo Direct 2024. I thought it would be a cool pickup seeing how I was already buying SAO games on-sale for Bandai. Unfortunately I have to say this game is not optimized for PC. I still recommend someone with a RTX4080 opts in They added a demo* As someone who spent hours fixing my own and others PC to make this game "playable" I can't recommend this unless you have a high-end PC game. Even then be prepared to grind your face off. It's a time commitment. Otherwise a imperfect beautiful game. It's a bomb story with a addicting multiplayer when done right.
