Excellent game so long as you play with controller! Very much like the Zombie Night Terror game. Love these horror-like puzzle games!

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a wonderfully eccentric platformer that delivers its charm through a blend of cartoon chaos, clever mechanics, and a gleeful embrace of old-school sci-fi absurdity. The premise is intentionally simple: you play as a tiny, disgruntled blob who escapes from a laboratory and proceeds to grow, roll, jump, and consume its way through an unsuspecting world. What begins as a minor escape quickly escalates into a full-scale blob invasion, and the game leans into the ridiculousness of that arc with infectious enthusiasm. DrinkBox Studios brilliantly understands that not every platformer needs a sprawling story; sometimes, all you need is personality, tight controls, and a world that’s fun to tear through. From the outset, the gameplay shines through its smart combination of platforming and transformational mechanics. The blob’s ability to absorb objects allows it to steadily increase in size, shifting not only its appearance but also the scale of the environment around it. This growth loop is satisfying on its own, but the game doesn’t stop there. Powers like magnetism and telekinesis introduce new ways to interact with levels, altering the rhythm of progression and ensuring that the mechanics evolve instead of stagnating. One moment you’re sticking to metal surfaces and slingshotting yourself across gaps, and the next you’re using psychic pulls to navigate moving platforms or disrupt obstacles. These abilities keep the experience feeling inventive without overwhelming the player. The level design plays a major role in maintaining variety. Each stage introduces a new twist—be it altered physics, environmental hazards, or puzzle setups that rely on creative use of blob abilities. The pacing is brisk, with stages rarely overstaying their welcome. This makes the game ideal for short, energetic play sessions, though longer marathons retain much of their appeal thanks to the steady flow of new ideas. Some segments, especially those involving rocket-like propulsion, can feel slightly looser than the main platforming, but even these stretches fit within the game’s playful tone. The overall experience remains cohesive, and the occasional change in mechanics keeps the game from slipping into monotony. Visually, Mutant Blobs Attack distinguishes itself through bold, colorful art and a humorous interpretation of 1950s sci-fi tropes. The blob itself is expressive and oddly charismatic, while levels are packed with character—quirky animations, sight gags, and small environmental details that subtly reinforce the world’s tongue-in-cheek personality. The soundtrack complements this approach with energetic, sometimes quirky tunes that match the game’s chaotic spirit. Together, these elements form a presentation style that feels instantly memorable and unmistakably DrinkBox: polished, playful, and full of heart. Despite its strengths, the game has limitations that stem from its focused scope. The narrative is intentionally thin, serving more as a backdrop for your journey than a central draw. Some players may find the core loop of absorbing objects and navigating levels repetitive over longer sessions, particularly once the novelty of new powers wears off. The game is also relatively short, which means that its brightest ideas appear, dazzle, and conclude before they fully reach their maximum potential. While this brevity keeps the experience tight and prevents mechanical fatigue, it may leave players wishing for a few more levels or additional late-game twists. Even so, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack succeeds admirably at what it sets out to do: provide a compact, creative, and consistently enjoyable platforming adventure bursting with style and humor. It’s the kind of game that invites you to smile as you wreak havoc, rewarding curiosity and momentum rather than precision or narrative investment. Whether you’re devouring entire city blocks, slinging yourself across magnetic rails, or puzzling your way through bizarre physics-driven scenarios, the game maintains a joyful energy that makes it easy to recommend. For fans of inventive platformers, quirky indie titles, or simply a fun, breezy escape, Mutant Blobs Attack remains a standout experience that holds up remarkably well. Rating: 8/10

This game for me is just really nostalgic. I first played this on the PS3 when I was still in elementary school and I really loved it. The style is so unique and the game is so simple and sometimes even funny. I just recently came back to this game and decided to 100% the achievements and it was a little bit of a challenge.

Mutant Blobs Attack was one of my favorite games as a kid. I remember constantly playing it on the PS Vita, which nowadays nobody remembers. I am so glad I get to replay this game again, still, I love the colours and art style of the game, and it's so satisfying eating everything in sight until to grow to become a massive mutant blob and eat the entire solar system. (Ya know this reminds me of another game about a one-eyed mutant blob who eats the solar system, but that one was purple) Even the music of the game sends me back to a nostalgic past when life was much simpler. Overall, even after 13 years since I last played it, it's still an amazing game that I highly recommend.

One of those "eat and become bigger to eat more" type of games. Rather than focusing on just that it does also have platforming passages. A few achievements were pretty annoying to get but it is doable. Id recommend looking up a guide.
