I have to be honest, I love the game itself but this is one of the worst maintained pieces of software I've ever seen. And I grew up in the era of 1980's buggy games. The team behind TM occasionally makes software updates, and they *always* result in game functionality going down, several cards at a time bugging out and not working anymore, and other quality of life problems in the gameplay. There are also recurring and consistent bug issues, such as your opponent getting infinite turns, you being unable to pass your turn, your opponent getting free stuff (i.e. cheating), and the game generally crashing. Just now I had a game where the AI and I were both in the middle of our turns, and "your opponent has passed" kept being repeated as an infinite loop. I think I programmed better games than this when I was learning GW Basic. It's a simple board game, how hard can it be to keep it running properly? I'm left with the weird idea that they're messing with the players on purpose as a psychological experiment. I highly recommend TM itself, but this digital version is garbage.

For the most part I loved it. Only minor issues. The AI players consistently play a similar strategy each time with a heavy emphasis on board presence. Haven't yet seen an A.I. player go for Jovian strategy or Science strategy.

Good implementation of the board game with some UI weirdness. The Prelude expansion is great, but the Venus Next DLC is super buggy. Avoid that DLC until it's fixed.

Outstanding adaptation. Takes away a lot of the pain from the tabletop version, especially my clumsy fingers knocking over all my little cubes. Basically all card options and mechanics work correctly, expansions slot in and out seamlessly, and your scores and options are calculated for you in ways that assist play. My single major gripe is that I'm always being torn away from looking at my cards whenever another player performs an action, which immediately closes whatever view you have open and forces you back to the game board. There's no setting to stop this! In this game, planning your next turn is essential for preventing the game dragging on too long, so it would be extremely helpful if the game didn't steal focus from you, and simply waited for you to close your hand view before catching you up on your opponents' actions.

This is a pretty robust digital version of the game, and the format enables the game to be played quite a bit more quickly, especially when making use of the timer system with strangers online. However, this game has some pretty annoying issues when it comes to online play. For one, the karma system seems good on paper: You earn points for completing entire games without leaving or forfeiting, you lose points for doing those things. Unfortunately, this game doesn't deal with players leaving very well, and sometimes mandates reconnecting due to bugs where the turn order doesn't advance for minutes at a time. I quickly dropped to 1 karma after leaving games where other players already chose to leave, not sure why you get docked for that. Sometimes a player will leave the lobby, you are then forced to wait out however long their timer is, and other players can get bored of waiting and leave in that time as well, forcing you to stay through THOSE timers too if you dont want a karma hit. All this breeds a really distrusting and negative experience for casual players.
