Rating: 5 / 10 That’s Not My Neighbor starts strong with a fantastic 1950s aesthetic and a creepy, "Papers, Please" style tension. The first time you catch a doppelgänger with an extra eye or a melting face, it’s genuinely satisfying and a bit unsettling. The Good: Art Style: The character designs are unique and the UI feels tactile and clunky in a good way. Initial Hook: The first 30–60 minutes are tense as you learn the ropes and become a paranoid gatekeeper. The Bad: Extreme Repetition: After the first successful run, the game doesn't offer much in the way of progression. You’re essentially doing the exact same tasks with very little variation. Lack of Depth: Unlike other games in this genre that add new mechanics or branching stories as you go, this stays very surface-level. Once you’ve seen the main doppelgänger types, the "scare" factor disappears, and it just becomes a tedious checklist. Final Verdict: It’s a fun experience for an hour, but there’s almost no replay value. It feels more like a proof-of-concept than a fully fleshed-out game. If you’ve seen a playthrough online, you’ve basically experienced everything the game has to offer.

Its fun, but the gameplay loop does get stale very quickly. However it's only a couple quid so that's not an issue in my opinion.

That’s Not My Neighbour is a clever little horror game that thrives on discomfort rather than jump scares. Its strength lies in how human everything feels, the awkward conversations, the subtle facial expressions, and the constant doubt about whether you’re making the right choice. Checking documents and spotting tiny inconsistencies becomes tense surprisingly fast, especially when characters act almost normal.. The minimalist art style works perfectly with the theme, making every mistake feel personal and every correct decision a relief. What really stands out is how the game plays with paranoia ; even when you think you understand the rules, it finds ways to make you second-guess yourself. Its Short, eerie, and deeply unsettling in a very human way, it’s a great experience for fans of psychological horror and observation-based games !

I like this game, but something I kinda have to complain about is when a neighbor shows up wearing a hat. There's been a few times where a neighbor comes in wearing a hat but its not in any of the photos. This confuses me because sometimes it'll be the actual neighbor but other times it'll be a mimic. This makes me really frustrated, along with how some differences are so small is very difficult to see, and sometimes the pictures are very small so its hard to see. It's fun but I wish some things would be fixed.

I would give this a middle rating. It was fun, but it felt too repetitive. I wish there had been more variety, with more characters, questions, and content to make the game longer and more engaging.
