The Slater is a low budget Hitman clone with the level of technical prowess that puts it closer to the older game of that franchise, but even then it still lacks a lot of important quality of life features, like the ability to manually save mid-level. There's also some equally weird choices like not being able to take the disguise or items from a body if you already hid it. Basically the game feels undercooked in many aspects. But the core fundamentals of the game are still solid; it's a stealth game that wants you to be meticulous. The levels are decently designed, you definitely need to explore as much of the levels as you can in order to get to your targets. The methods of assassination for most of the targets are pretty straightforward, so don't expect the crazy antics that you would see from the latest Hitman games. And just like any other decent stealth game, you'll die real quick if you go guns blazing. Obviously none of these statements describe a special game, in fact these are probably the bare minimum that you would have to get right in a stealth game like this. But considering its asking price and short length, it's hard to ask much more from it.

Not bad. I just finished it in one sitting and had fun. Now, it's time to get the remaining achievements

Very jank Indie BUT a fun one! There are no checkpoints but you can do one level quickly in a comfortable sitting. There are multiple ways to complete your missions and even pacifist options. This is Wish dot com's Hitman but it does it well for what it is. Fairly impressive tbh.

A pretty good first person Hitman-esc game, where you play as Budget Bruce Willis. Played for quite a few hours, and had fun for the most part. Would recommend.

A pleasant stealth game experience The Slater is a unique stealth game, it is simple, but very enjoyable, You'll be spotting the same 3D character models and hearing the same voice lines over and over, simple mechanics like "collect a keycard to access this room", "collect another keycard to access the room inside that room" and so on. Things like that didn't bother me at all because of the following reasons: 1. It is a short game, you don't have to worry about doing the same things for too long, you won't get bored unless you don't like challenging stealth games. 2. The levels are well done, each level is different in terms of design/location, but the way you complete them are the same. 3. The targets have a lot of personality and they all have a little background story, I really enjoyed that. 4. It is addictive for those who like hard stealth games and want something more linear sometimes. 5. It has achievements and they are not difficult to get. The story: Amazing, the game has an interesting end too, this game is very rewarding if you like achievements, you'll get nice achievements while progressing throughout the game. Now, something weird but understandable. You can't just kill everybody and complete the mission, or technically you can (I did this just for fun on the first level) but you have to cheese. You'll need to find a spot where you can't get shot, you can only take a couple of shots and the enemies' aim is almost perfect. So the game will punish you for being loud. Another funny thing is, it doesn't matter if you killed a target or someone and nobody saw you, if the body gets spotted you will be hunted by ALL enemies on the map, It's weird, but if you play this game as intended then you are going to have fun. There are three difficulties, I've only played on "Normal" and "Hard", there are no achievements related to difficulty, which makes the hard difficulty useless, and it seems that you can't or may not get the highest rating on the hardest difficulty so yeah, there's not much point to play on any difficulty besides "Normal" . And Yes there are ratings, It's a funny thing that you get when you complete each level, you get to see some cool information when you finish a level. No possibility to do manual saves, if you fail you restart the entire level. Just get good and enjoy. Overall: I really recommend this game if you like stealth games with a hardcore design, no saves, very consistent gameplay, etc, I really enjoyed my time in this game and I do recommend it.
