despite fact that combat is good and bad at same time because how disconnected it is and how some enemies can be perma CC'd, this game is still amazing and best wuxia game (besides WWM that released recently). It's the only real time action wuxia game (bloody spell doesn't count, because that game is a bit meme) because other is usually turn based or side scrollers. The there only two things that I don't like: 1. I don't like is fact that game is basically unfinished, because ending of the game is supposed to be in DLC that never released. 2. when I played chinese demo and released version there is pretty big difference plus removed zones that never appeared in released version, for example bamboo village is the last zone in released version, but in demo its explorable zone. I wish we have more games like this in the future. Oh and last thing, DO NOT PLAY ON GODLIKE AS FIRST PLAYTHROUGH. I beated it on godlike because I play all games on hardest difficulty, but holy... because game itself sometimes playing against you it's just feels like shooting in own leg, plus game is very punishing because for example there is no saves and only checkpoints, even while it said there is actually there not, or wasting EXP on internal/external skills can be a waste most of time. Note, for me turtle stance was the best because it has sustain of HP, plus have biggest amount of HP but small amount of MP in other words with this stance it's easier to focus just on parry instead of button mash.
really good game , hope they make a wind road 2 . good combat , amazing styles, nice universe . farming books for all styles is fun , the only downside is that its not pure open world . the crafting system is not worth it though . you never get a lot of materials so you can craft a lot. . the devs of this game is currently working on a 2d sekiro themed game so i will buy that one for sure to support the devs. might be better than where winds meet in some ways . this game is hard . particulary on the harder difficulties . and you need to use all styles on the harder diffculties to survive ,you get one shoted etc. good game still worth to play in 2025 and beyond
