if you enjoy games like Necesses or Terraria then you'll love this game! However in the state it's currently in it's a bit buggy BUT even so.. it's definitely worth playing.

I like it so far. The game copies very heavily from Terraria, Valheim, and Necesse in many ways, but it does still have a decent amount of its own charm. I appreciate all the non-combat systems in the game like the cooking and village systems. The visuals are much better than those of Necesse and the village system seems more rewarding in terms of what you get from NPCs. That being said, I do wish that villagers went outside of their homes and interacted with each other or that protecting them with walls or something was necessary. Right now I've built a castle wall around my village for the vibes, but it's unnecessary as far as I can tell, villagers can't even take damage. Progression moves reasonably but is somewhat "one note" in the early game, you get new materials to make better tools, moving up material tiers as you enter new areas. New areas have better ores (stone -> copper -> iron -> etc.) along with new wood. If you've played Valheim before, it's nearly the same in terms of material progression style. That being said, each of the early areas feel genuinely threatening when you first enter them, and you'll die a lot. It makes material gathering feel a lot more engaging instead of a pure grind. Overall I'd say this is a good game so far and I'm looking forward to how they improve things. Here are some of my wishes: * The ability to rotate house decorations/work stations so I can place them on side walls without looking visually weird. * More dynamic villagers in terms of moving around, interacting with/reacting to the player and each other. * Better balancing of the mineral spider boss. As a solo player on the "Survivor" difficulty, the mineral spider feels like a completely lost endeavor. It charges at you and sticks to your character like glue, making escaping damage nearly impossible. Plus the spider web on the floor is too large and therefore impossible to skillfully dodge. I recommend slowing the boss down, making the charge attack less frequent and more linear (instead of tracking), making the arena larger (or the spider smaller), and making the spider web in the floor more infrequent. I'd say its worth a try at the base price and a good deal when on sale.

Exploration flows naturally into base building, and the experience becomes more engaging over time. It is still in Early Access, but its foundations are solid and future updates have a lot of potential.

The essence and progression of Terraria on the axis of Stardew Valley. A good alternative to Core Keeper with less emphasis on survival and eat for the stat boost. Very adequate content right now for an early access title.

I like the game but please make it so the owner only interactables can also be accessed by 'joiners'. Like ship navigation. It really sucks that I cant progress without the host.
