A lot of tiny bugs here and there, about movement, enemy ai, ui clicks, buildings that you interact with when you click on another one because you're too close from the one or the other. Some sfx bug, crackling from time to time, and also sometimes it's the wrong animal sound, like a rabbit sound when you hit a dear. Also, the resource 'tendon' is pretty rare, yet it's used for a lot of things, so it makes a lot of the crafting impossible to do just because of this resources used among way too many items. But appart of these bugs, it's a real pleasure to play this game. Crafting, building, survival. It took me way too long in the beginning to be able to complete the survival loop being: finding food, cooking it, eating it, gathering resources, crafting items, getting back to base and warm up + regen, then repeat till I have enough resources to move in a new location. The problem is with the food, the berries are not feeding enough and there is only a few of them. So the only viable option here is to hunt. But in the beginning the prey runs to fast, or the wolf+boar are dealing too much damage so it's literraly one kill one meat one full nearly full regen after the fight. It would have been better if I could gather more food early on, or at least a bit faster. Now I'm a bit locked with the inventory spaces, so it's time to explore a bit more. But I really enjoyed it all so far, these kinds of survival games are wonderful to me. Mhh after second thought, I understand why there is so many negative reviews on this game. 25ducks as a base price is really too high, looking how buggy it is. 10-15max would have been acceptable. Nowadays on sales it's 2.5 so it's hard to not recommend. Again some craftable items requires some resources that are way too hard to find, this is my biggest issue so far. The deer & wolf pets are fun first, but quickly useless, as the first one requires berries that are hard to find at some point, and the deer can be killed while you move around. And for the wolf, it requires fresh meat, but so often, that you have to 50% explore 50% hunt to feed it, and in the end the wolf struggle so much to really have any value in terms of damage, as it never comes with you when you enter buildings. So the whole mechanic of pets is useless. And there is not even an achievement with it. The healing is also a problem, if you want to use potions to fasten the healing process, first you need to craft those hard resources demanding potions. So... again not a good mechanic. Overall it's a really good survival experience, but definitely wait the sales to buy it at 2.5. Max 5 ducks.

Purchased a while back and it was hard for me, then recently started to play again and I simply cannot put it down. I'm so into it! I love the atmosphere, survival, inventory managment, art style, music, and just all of it. It has challanges that you have to overcome, maybe avoid that wolf, and what polar bears?! lol it scared me. Anyways, GREAT game and would recommend. Its like the long dark but top down style. the winter apocolypse of project zomboid.

I enjoyed this game allot and very happy I Purchased it. I Played this game and finished it. I loved it and I recommend it. I feel it doesn't deserve the mixed reviews it got. I found nothing wrong with it. Please note some games need you to be in the right mood before you play it, and make sure your computer settings fit the game before you purchase it. Also to avoid game crashes, go to the Task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) in your computer and close (END TASK) any unnecessary programs consuming your computer's memory, like Google and VR. Since this game doesn't use VR and your not using the search engines of apps like google and Microsoft, then better end task them before playing any game in general.

Fun solo game. Great Multiplayer friends game. Yes the graphics are dated and the controls are basic, but the content of the game is surprisingly good.

Danger, Randomness, and a Lot of Snow I played The Wild Eight solo, and what pulled me in right away was how unpredictable everything felt. The world is full of random events, quests, and locations. One moment you’re freezing to death, the next you’re opening some strange bunker door or stumbling into a new puzzle you didn’t expect. It’s dangerous, but in a fun way; you always have that choice to fight, run, or just sneak past and hope for the best. Exploration was easily my favorite part. I loved wandering around just to see what I might find next, some cool tools or weapons, a new ingredient, a blueprint, or a random event that completely changes the situation. Every time I uncovered a new location, I felt that little surge of excitement. The game definitely has its flaws. Combat gets repetitive, and I wish the weapons felt more unique. And some small bugs can be rough, once all my items disappeared at my corpse location. I could see myself coming back with friends someday. Even with its rough edges, The Wild Eight is a strange, unpredictable little adventure that’s just fun to get lost in.
