An all-ages remake of an old dating sim in the 90's It's surprisingly long and tedious at some parts But wholesome nonetheless I wish they add more scenes to some heroines I like Rio more but she's not in the common route because secret route lol Also the QOL for skipping test kinda sucks but my experience is still good Decent game for sure
good vn and models are cute but better off just playing the original unless you already played it and want something different, or just don't care. Don't understand the point of the random parts where it lets you control the MC tho since you basically can't interact with anything or anyone, or even explore the school outside of the single corridor lmao. + the sheer amount of constant unskippable transitions is aids and translations are mid at best.
Good. Art style, modeling, and animation are all solid. Music is solid. Characters are likeable, funny, and unique. MC isn't some pervert loser or fat chud. If you do more than one run, the unskippable TIME AND DATE thing starts to get real tedious, but besides that it's chill. Don't waste your lifeclock doing the Shiho route. She is an idiot and she's just gonna make you mad. And I know someone's gonna read that and be like "ohhhh he's just saying that. he's exaggerating. i gotta see for myself!" I'm telling you man, the game is gonna make her look like some hidden gem, and then you're gonna hit that ending and be like "She can't be serious...". And in that moment I want you to know, I'm laughing at you, as those before me laughed at me. lemmy ftw
I decided to write a review for this, as it was my best experience while playing a game ever, and to me it feels really unfair that ToHeart is so unpopular (at least in our region, that is). I mean that because I see a lot of romance anime popping off absurdly (I don't really watch any, but I read some manga here and there), and from what I've seen, none of them come close to what ToHeart is. I'm not really a guy to play games like this, but nowadays I'm just glad I made an exception and gave ToHeart a try. This is my first time playing a game of this genre and I genuinely don't want any other ones like this, but that's just because this game has touched me in a way that made it irreplaceable. I saw a lot of people complaining about not having an auto skip option during dialogues, but what they don't know is that you can literally scroll down using your mouse and it advances super fast (you're welcome). Sometimes people complain so much that I wonder if they can appreciate things that are actually good. Keep that in mind when you read others' reviews. At first, I had no idea this was a remastered version of a game from 1997. This game single-handedly made me obsessed with the series, and I already know I'll love both anime adaptations (1999 and 2004), just because I already love the characters. I finished Akari's route and I have about 26 hours of playtime. When I first tried the game for a few hours, I wanted to do all the routes for all achievements (mostly Akari's, Lemmy's, Hoshina's and Aoi's), but after finishing Akari's, it felt like any others would've been unfair. That's how much I enjoyed building my story with her (Maybe I'll still try the other routes someday, but I know that day won't be today, and definitely not tomorrow). I'll use the last few lines of this review to point out that Akari is the best girl ever 🙏 She turned out to be my favorite character of all time. There's something about the way she's so calm and kind. Also, considering that her bear obsession came from Yuki, and she kept the teddy he gave her when they were kids, if Yuki had chosen anybody else, this would've been so unfair it would make me sick. 10/10 ToHeart ❤️🩹 10/10 Akari Kamigishi ❤️🩹
