I honestly forgot how good Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier™ was until I reinstalled it recently. This game came out over a decade ago, and yet it still holds up shockingly well — both in terms of gameplay and the overall feel. It's not just another military shooter. It’s smart, stylish, and seriously satisfying once you get into its rhythm. First off, the gameplay is super tight. It strikes a really nice balance between stealth and action. You can’t just run in guns blazing (well, you can, but it probably won’t end well). The game encourages a methodical, tactical approach — marking enemies with your drone, lining up synchronized shots with your squad, and watching everything fall into place like clockwork. That "sync shot" mechanic? Never gets old. There's nothing quite like taking out an entire enemy squad in perfect coordination without ever being seen. And let’s talk about the futuristic tech — optical camouflage, drones, and some really cool weaponry. It’s set in the near future, so it doesn’t go overboard into sci-fi territory, but the tech adds a slick layer to how you approach missions. Using the UAV to scout ahead or the cloaking to sneak into an enemy base feels straight-up badass. The campaign is way better than I remembered, too. It's actually pretty varied — you're not just running through the same dusty warzones the whole time. You get dropped into different parts of the world, with each mission having its own flavor and challenges. Some moments feel straight out of a modern military thriller movie, and the pacing keeps it fresh all the way through. One of the highlights is the Gunsmith system — you can customize literally every part of your weapons, from the stock to the barrel to the trigger. And not just for stats — it actually changes how the gun feels and handles. It’s super intuitive and just really fun to mess around with, especially if you’re into the gun modding aspect of shooters. Now, is it perfect? No — the graphics are obviously a bit dated, and the multiplayer scene is pretty dead unless you have friends to play with. But if you can get a buddy or two for co-op, it becomes a whole different experience. Guerrilla Mode (basically horde mode) is a blast with the right squad, and the main campaign in co-op is chef’s kiss. All in all, Future Soldier is one of those games that aged far better than expected. It didn’t get the attention it deserved when it came out, and honestly, that’s a shame. If you’re tired of twitchy run-and-gun shooters and want something with a bit more depth, strategy, and style, this one’s absolutely worth checking out — or revisiting. Verdict: Criminally underrated. If you're into tactical shooters, this one's still got it. 10 years later and it still hits. 10/10 ! GET GOO GOO ALU!

The game it self is great, personally didn't have problems while running the campaign. Personally wouldn't buy it for full price (14,99, 23.12.24), but otherwise great. Of course the servers are shut down , but i'm not really someone for pvp anyways. If you want to know: the campaign in difficulty veteran (2/4) takes about 16h.

The game has aged like the finest of all wines. I miss what Ghost Recon used to be. I miss what Ubisoft used to be.
