I have spent hundreds of hours playing this game, and I can confidently say that approximately 97% of those hours have been spent wondering why I am still playing. Every match has a trainwreck of emotions. You start with hope, then your teammate reinforces the only wall you needed open, someone gets spawn peeked in the first 12 seconds. Your PC decides this is the perfect moment to become a slideshow. Your internet decides 12 ping isn't enough and it should be 800. Somehow despite all that you queue for another game and put yourself through this ♥♥♥♥♥ all over again. The gunplay is fantastic. The operators are fun. The rush of adrenaline is brilliant, being last alive in a 1v3 and pulling off a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Monty plant. There is an incredible amount of strategy involved. Unfortunately, strategy does not protect you from a man named Womanrepellent497 prone under a desk 6 miles away from site for 2 minutes waiting specifically for your existence. And yet... I keep coming back. Because every once in a while, everything clicks. You get that perfect headshot.... you clutch a 1v4... you breach exactly where you need to... Your team communicates for approximately eight consecutive seconds and suddenly you feel like you're part of an elite counter terrorism unit. Then just to ruin all hope you had of a good match, someone reinforces rotate... Castles you into site... Amaru flys through a window 18 stories up and face ♥♥♥♥♥ you with the most outrageous dropkick. 10/10. Absolutely recommend. Will it improve your mental health? No. Will it improve your relationships? Also no. Will you occasionally stare at your monitor in complete silence wondering what went wrong with your life? Absolutely. But you'll have fun doing it. Enjoy.
I would genuinely prefer to be publicly hung draw and quartered slowly and painfully like some sadistic satanic masochistic ritual rather than play another second of this sad miserable degenerative excuse of a game. The timeline of playing seige goes: download the game (already off to a bad start) then you load up the game, however in this time you could fully develop and publish the game yourself, then you finally load into your match, 10 seconds in you get obliterated by an over powered operator that ubisoft refuses to nerf for some unknown reason?? Then you have to spectate your ape brained teammates seemed to have developed a mental disorder in the utterly absurd time it takes to load into one for god forsaken game and are now blessed with the IQ of a speedbump. The game goes 0-4. It might be just one game right? The next one you load into (eventually) and you get the wonderful experience of feeling like bin Ladin getting raided by seal team 6, the enemy seems to be able to smell your clenched ass from across the map and track you down like a homing pigeon on crack, and whilst your fighting for your life against the reincarnation of the army of 300, your teammates have their thumbs up their asses watching coco melon. This goes on for multiple games, mostly because ubisoft again cant be bothered to fix the matchmaking so you end up facing champs diamonds and emeralds, plats if your lucky, in the same fashion ubisoft don't want to fix the anit cheat, obvious bugs and glitches, nessacery nerfs/buffs, micro-transactions, and maps making it completely unplayable. But hey atleast its free right?
Jynxzi makes it look like Siege is playable. Then you queue ranked and remember you’re just here to get pre-fired through a wall by a level 82 Smurf called “xXxASHMAINxXx” while your teammate is reinforcing a rotate in the middle of site. Everyone in this game thinks they’re Beaulo, plays like they’re in Champs, and dies like they’ve never seen a staircase before. Gold players call you “braindead,” Emerald players say “team diff,” and the actual Champion on the enemy team is crouch-spamming in a pixel angle no human should ever find. Half the deaths don’t even feel real. You drone, you clear, you clear again, and somehow there’s still a guy sitting in the one corner nobody ever checks. And your teammate instantly goes “why no drone?” Chat is always the same too. “XIM,” “cheater,” “peekers advantage,” “hitreg trash,” like it’s never just someone outplaying you. And every time you think it can’t get worse, Ubisoft drops a patch that somehow makes sound more confusing than it already was. Still queue again though. No idea why.
This game is fun. I used to have a wife and kids before I started playing this game I got hooked and couldn't stop playing an eventually my wife left me and took our son and daughter because we weren't spending quality time together and we hadn't been intimate. Can you believe the nerve? She wants attention when I am trying to hear and play a game with my friends. But besides that this is a great game 10/10
