Dec. 2025
I would recommend this game for someone who loves micro managing and the military industrial complex. The resource system alone in this game is carefully detailed. For example if I want to build a Bradly, i need to have enough steel and plastics in order to develop just one. I also have to designate a factory to build the ammo which you need metal to make the casings, and gunpowder. You need to have a fuel reserve so the Bradly can actually operate. Basically what I am saying is that this game goes into great detail on how things are built and run. It is the same for firearms when it comes to attachments and ammo. The same with uniforms as well. Everything also must be moved around with logistics it just doesn't show up in your city you actually have to move it there. Now for the A.I. We will start with the campaign. They are extremely aggressive if they are right next to you. If you are far away they will leave you alone to deal with their own problems. Some of them act extremely funny (Don't know if its the devs poking fun on certain political beliefs) For example when I was a democracy fighting a communist neighbor I noticed that the A.I was overproducing A.P.Cs but no fire arms for the infantry. They also kept running out of food and had several rebellions which ended up crossing over into my territory which was the whole reason we went to war in the first place because it's rebel armies kept fighting me. When I got to their last city their big armored division came out to meet me only to stop just short because they ran out of fuel. So I pulled a German and went around them and took the city because their garrison just had pistols and double barrel shotguns. 11 out of 10 would dunk on a communist nation again. Now for battle A.I. Now let me just make this clear. You can customize your soldiers from uniforms, helmets, weapons, and attachments. You can make your own specialized teams or standard rifle squads. That being said if you standardize and have a well equipped and supplied army it can wipe the floor with enemy combatants. Even if your force is outnumbered 5 to 1 you can hold off enemies without having to manually control your men. I recommend actually paying attention to how to set up your army at the early stages of the game because as soon as you get automatic rifles researched MASS PRODUCE THEM! Other then that the A.I will either be stationary and will want you to come to them. Randomly patrol, or just flat out full send at your force like it's the charge of the Light Brigade. If you have an air force just bomb them if they are stationary and the A.I will actually go "Oh Crap I need to move!" and start running/driving around the battle map. Your men will sometimes occupy buildings and sometimes get stuck in them or avoid them. Enemy A.I doesn't set up in buildings (hopefully that gets fixed) Now lets talk about early access! I actually had to dig into this and find that this started as a one man project and to my knowledge being done by five people now. They are also not all in the same continent. The developer's first language is not English and I don't think anyone on the dev team speaks English that well. So some of the text is messed up. It's not terrible, but there are some things that grammatically don't make sense. The updates do keep rolling out with bug fixes and A.I improvement as well as new equipment, vehicles, and resources. They have not abandoned this game, and won't anytime soon. However, they are making DLC for certain units, and weapons before they finish the game which I understand if you need money to pay for a large dev team, but some things should be fully stable and fixed before you start throwing out DLC to the masses. Do I recommend this game? Yes if you like very immersive strategy. Does it need more time in the Oven? YES

This game is in such early access its practically not ready to come out of the oven. But here I am still still ingesting too much hopium. and yet they want you to pay for DLC. When there are still missing campaigns and vehicles. For this ill state the problems with the game and just leave you with an idea of the state of the game at the time of this review. Skip to the conclusion if you want a summary of my thoughts. The Map is honestly boring and too small, you even have countries not on the map who will attack and bum rush you. Nation building is honestly a downer. you can make "Alliances" but that wont mean you have a faction. So you can be allies with 2 countries and they will go to war with each other and pretty much never actually end the war. YOU DO ALL THE FIGHTING UNLESS ITS A BUM RUSH. Plus the AI is completely random with diplomacy. Passing laws is suuuuuuuuuch a drag, think of HOI4 political power and national focuses but practically dumbed and slowed down. Honestly youll prolly never see your entire focus tree done. I am not even sure what the end goal of the game is, conquer everyone? the game isnt clear on that, it just seems to be and endless game and again, YOU WILL BE BUM RUSHED by a country who is NOT ON THE MAP. So have fun fighting endless hordes of enemies who drain your resources, even if you manage everything perfectly. Finally, the actual combat. Enemies can range from tarkov scav to sniper elite level accuracy but you have settings to change that. But dont expect deep FPS mechanics, think call of duty 3 movement with leaning. AI teammates are either dumb or so slow theyll be dead before they enter a building, even with strategic planning and execution. Oh and all "art" and "portraits" for the game are AI generated. apperently theres only 3 types of generals/people according to the AI that made the portraits, White, brown, and obviously eastern european. Now for the conclusion: Missing a few things, why are they charging DLC? please just use real countries and real camos and maybe real people, FPS combat is meh, need better nation building and political gameplay, use WAY less AI for art. I have hope for this game but I fear that its false and the devs dont actually care. But yet I still recommend because Ill still play it.

I like the game, but it has some real serious issues. Basically, you run a production game with combat. Research "historical" weapons in whacked out timeline where you are in 2024 research the Kar 98....which was developed in 1898, then in 2027 you can research the M16, which was developed in the 60's...you get the picture. Each province has the same basic city types which each specialize in a specific production type. That's fine, but when you can only improve ONE building in your entire nation at a time, getting large is well and truly just screwing your economy. Control 3 provinces? That's nice, you need 3x the food but can only build 1 farm over 45 days or so, or you build a factory over 100 days and that's it. Complete waste to not be able to build in multiple locations at the same time. Diplomacy sucks. Sign an armistice with someone and they attack you 3 days later. What was the point of the armistice? Go to war with one nation who has no allies, get attacked by 5 other nations because you're apparently an easy target when you are at war. Capture enemy cities, lose stability, get overrun by rebels as your fighting off 6 enemy nations. Oh, and if you build a halfway decent sized army, you run out of people and can't replace the losses.

I really love this sandbox, it could be the modern Bannerlord. That being said, if this company abandons this project then ill be forced to buy, return and negative review everything they ever make... forever. Its called Freeman:PTSD and I refuse to be hurt again.

0.92 version. Here is what i honestly think of the game. Pros: It’s exactly what I was looking for, a mount and blade like game but in the modern world and with more complexity. The game has deep economic system where you need to mine or buy the raw materials then refine it to produce basic necessities and to make all weapons / Ammo/ vehicles. FPS and comanding troops just like mount and blade Huge variety of weapons and vehicles including but not limited to Planes/trucks/ APC’s/ tanks/ ships Set your own troop equipments including weapon attachments Control the tanks/ trucks if you want Research tree and political tree Diplomacy including trade alliances and non aggression pacts Gameplay is actually fun! Cons It’s early access meaning you could see bugs and crashes and also some stuff aren’t fleshed out yet. It doesn’t actually tell you how to play you need to figure it out or just look for people online to help. Things take very long to research/ construct. (I used a mod that makes everything much faster) Millitary economy is not very easy to manage ( here I mean your battalions ) Can’t control the prices of what I sell in the world market. AI is either not aggressive at all or super aggressive and will pile on you whenever they see you down. That was my opinion and in summary I think this game is very promising. I hope they keep updating regularly!
