How did ONE LONE MEXICAN GOOF take 90% of my whole army's health? Like, 6 American tank divisions per piece on the board, times 5, and I saw their green bars drop drastically! That aside, I can't wait for the spreadsheet simulator to get updated for SPACE AND COVID! Those would be a lot of fun. But, judging by the pace of monthly patches, I doubt that'll be releasing anytime soon. (More long-term, having FAR-FUTURE tech be buffed out some would be nice, instead of +5 design points or -5% sickness. Not asking to go to Stellaris levels, but Super Soldiers and other Experimental Weapons would be fun.) OH, one more amazing thing to note...there is ONE VERY SPECIFIC SONG that is OUTSTANDINGLY AWESOME! It goes HARD, like an epic version of Duel of the Fates! Of the three or six songs I know of, there is at least one S-tier song in the soundtrack, and I only wish I knew what it was called. That in itself helps the game stand out. But it's still rough, particularly with matters such as difficulty telling me exactly why population keeps going down despite having the #1 GDP and 100 happiness, with all but 1 or 2 needs met (unless those are the ones, and meeting them are decades off in-game). Same with trying to annex a country, but it refuses to hand itself over because there is one tiny island it's holding out on. Plus the mouse wheel being inverted by default, or that odd format of DD/MM/YYYY and the options menu does NOT affect that at all. You know, silly little things that can be worked on. It's rough, but most of the core is here, and I enjoyed that in itself.

I did not buy game when it first released last year because of all the negative reviews, but I have kept my eye on this game thru its massive overhaul. It had a ton of potential and i wanted it to succeed. I am just blown away by how this game turned out. Its one of the best political sim, games I have ever played. The fact that the developer could own up to their missteps and actually listen to their fans to head back to drawing board and deliver an absolute gem is amazing. This game has tons of depth, detailed UI that is very easy to read and not cluttered. WW&E mechanics are polished and developer is very engaged, this game has raised the bar for all others.
