The boy you play as, Kevin, is a little psychopath. I thought this was going to be a by the numbers game about a kid playing with his toys. If you thought Sid from Toy Story was bad... I could not have been more wrong. Kevin is a psychotic child who is off his meds. The more you play and the more you see of Kevin the more you realise this. His toys start to play up a little bit and he picks it up and rips it in half, he covers his sisters bathroom toys in "DIE DIE DIE" and mutilates his sisters toys. He'll constantly go "I don't remember these toys" despite having dozens upon dozens of them. How do you not remember all your toys, Kevin? Did the medication make you forget? The little narcissist also calls himself the greatest general ever as his toys, that he perceives as alive and free thinking individuals, are sent to their deaths by the dozen. As he destroys the bathroom, wastes food and cuts up clothing and tablecloths to make "battlefields" like the little destroyer he is you will notice one thing: KEVIN IS A CREATURE OF THE NIGHT. Kevin is a vampire. You can see his shadow but you cannot see his reflection in the mirror or in anything but you can see everything elses reflection. Is the medication to subdue his vampiric needs for blood and violence? I look forward to finding out. Cool game.

As someone who loves TD games, this one is pretty good for an Early Access title. It’s an adorable, cozy little game, and my husband and I really enjoyed it. There are definitely some changes and improvements I’d like to see in future updates: 1. Target prioritization – Currently, as I understand it, towers pick a target based on your selected priority and stick with it until it’s either dead or out of range before selecting a new one. For much of the game, enemies enter tower range one at a time rather than simultaneously. This means that regardless of the priority setting, towers often just target the first enemy. I’d like an option for towers to re-evaluate and switch targets before the current one dies or leaves range. 2. Special abilities – There are currently two. The hammer is fun, but the matches don’t seem to work correctly. My husband and I both ran into a bug where the character throws matches randomly, and after two or three throws, the mechanic breaks and you can’t use them anymore. 3. Tower placement – Placement is currently very limited. Allowing more placement options would make the game more challenging, encourage creativity, and increase replayability. 4. Soldier control – Microing soldiers is difficult. You can either command all to hold position or all to march and attack. While you can select individuals or groups and move them manually, they revert to their default behavior once they reach their destination. I’d like to be able to assign different behaviors to different units. It’s also extremely hard to get soldiers to retreat from combat. They usually take a step back and then re-engage, which often results in their death. Medics are problematic too; when marching, they move into enemy range and die quickly, leaving ranged units without support. 5. The Last Buzz – The original final map was extremely difficult on Normal. I appreciate a challenge, but this map felt like it could only be beaten in one specific way. Greater replayability comes from having multiple viable strategies. 6. Information access – I often wished I could click on things to view more details. During a wave, I couldn’t click towers to check their stats (e.g., whether they hit flying enemies). In the Attic level, I wanted to click Frankenstein to see his weaknesses, I couldn’t tell if my electricity towers were damaging or healing him. Being able to access and compare information at any time would help with planning and strategy. 7. Worms – They’re the bane of my existence. If you don’t have a soldier guarding your base, they don’t pop up one last time to get hit, they just sneak through. There doesn’t seem to be a specific counter for them aside from limited tower placement and manually keeping a soldier at base. 8. Healing – Healing soldiers often feels pointless. They can be one-shot or carried off by dragonflies with no chance of healing or revival. Because of this, I rarely invest in medics or healing towers. I really do enjoy this game. It wasn’t until The Last Buzz that I started to feel frustrated, and I hope that map gets rebalanced to allow more strategic flexibility. I’m excited to see future updates. Even with the issues I’ve mentioned, I’d say the game is worth the money.

Fun game for $8 on sale. It really hits the toy nostalgia of like an N64 sarges heroes or Toy Story. It's not an all time great tower defense game like bloons 6 or kingdom rush series, but it was good and fun run for about 8 hours. I heard it was made by 2 people, which is impressive. The levels and enemy variety were good. It nailed the atmosphere and music. Sometimes the difficulty spikes are not very tuned or balanced. Sometimes priority targeting doesn't work. The camera angle isn't ideal and when you use a special weapon it becomes terrible. I don't like how beating the game on hard doesn't give you normal and easy achievements too. I don't like how it resets your progress entirely if you start a new game. Once you beat the maps, you should keep them. I also think it's too easy for your soldiers to die and because of this they are too expensive for their cost.

This game is great. i absolutely love it. It's not easy, but it is simple. Classic tower defense done really really really well. I don't like the way the camera moves, but that is literally my only complaint 10/10 recommended to all.

I love this game because I had exactly same soldiers in my childhood and a little bit nostalgia I had and it was fun. I finished this game in 2.2 hour but I will play this game in infinite mode.
