I really don't get the hate directed at this game. There are a couple of visual aberrations so far I have found around the line but as a newcomer to the game, frankly its fine. It does what I would expect of a fishing game and I would rather support something that doesn't have micro-transactions than something that does so yea, thumbs up from me.
Big fishing fan finally happy to find a fishing game for such a cheap price as I am so bored of fishing planets micro transactions. As a new player I disagree with some of the negative posts about how the games has gone backwards. As a new user the new interface and mechanics seem more logical to me, having played both versions from start for a few hours each before deciding how to proceed. I guess it is a case for some people that they... "don't like change". I am still early into the game and have discovered several bugs, have they affected my game? no., but need fixing obviously. Slight clipping issues, casting after gaining level rewards to name a couple. This is well worth its asking price.
the trophy stand that in on the other side of the Alaska spot in the residence has a spot on the wall ware the paint is lighter than the rest of the paint on the wall and its of center its not a big deal but if you fix it it would make mine and others days too and on the Thailand map for me it was really hard to catch blackfin reef sharks but anyway i love the game 11/10 pleas make shore this game has and always will have a full roadmap in the future. :) :} :]
Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is, at its core, a very good fishing game. When it works, it captures the relaxing rhythm that makes fishing sims appealing in the first place: the quiet pacing, the anticipation of a bite, the satisfaction of landing a fish, and the overall feeling that you can just zone out for a while and enjoy the experience. There’s clearly a solid foundation here, and you can see the developers had a strong vision for the game. The atmosphere is good, the concept is strong, and the game has real potential to be one of the better fishing titles out there. That said, the biggest problem is that the game still feels rough around the edges in a way that is hard to ignore. There are simply too many bugs for a game that has had enough time to become more stable. Some issues are minor and annoying, like odd behavior, clunky interactions, or small glitches that break immersion. Others are more serious and affect the experience enough that they make you pause and wonder why they’re still present. A game like this lives or dies on smooth, dependable gameplay, and when the bugs stack up, they chip away at the fun very quickly. What makes this especially frustrating is that the core gameplay is good enough to keep you invested. You want to recommend it. You want it to succeed. You want to spend more time in it because the basics are genuinely enjoyable. But every time another bug shows up, it reminds you that the game hasn’t reached the level of polish it needs. That creates a strange tension: you’re having a good time, but you’re also constantly aware that the experience could be much better if the issues were fixed properly. My bigger concern, honestly, is what this says about the future. I’ve been looking at MLF: Pro Catch and I do want to buy it, but if the current game is still sitting with so many unresolved problems, it naturally makes me worry about support for the next one. It’s not just about one buggy game anymore — it becomes a question of trust. If they haven’t fully cleaned up this title, how confident can players be that the new game will launch in a healthier state? And if this game is still waiting on meaningful patches, will they keep supporting it long enough to earn that trust, or will it end up feeling abandoned once attention shifts to the next release? That’s the part that matters most to me. I can forgive bugs in a game with strong ongoing support, because at least there’s a clear path toward improvement. But if the patching feels slow or inconsistent, it starts to affect the way people view the studio as a whole. It doesn’t just make this game less appealing — it creates hesitation around future purchases too. That’s exactly where I’m at with MLF: Pro Catch. I want to be excited for it, but I’m also cautious because Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 hasn’t yet convinced me that the company will consistently fix what needs fixing. So my overall take is this: Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is a good game with a lot of promise, but it is held back by too many bugs and not enough polish. The gameplay foundation is there, and for fishing game fans, it can still be worth your time. But the technical issues are hard to excuse, and they raise real concerns about the developer’s long-term support and the health of their future projects. If they can get serious about patching and show they’re committed to improving the game, that would go a long way toward rebuilding confidence. Until then, the concern is fair: a good game shouldn’t have this many unanswered problems, and players are right to wonder what that means for what comes next. I guess i would recommend it but only when its on sale.
