Umineko Golden Fantasia is a kind of fun, gimmicky fighting game, but it’s pretty easy to tell this was a budget doujin-style project. Probably not the type of game most people would want to play seriously at a competitive level. I will say, having all the music from the visual novel and some fun character interactions is a nice touch. But ultimately, it’s just okay fan service and not much more than that. It’s really only worth it for hardcore Umineko fans who at least sort of like 2D fighting games. For anyone else, it’s probably not worth the time. At least it has rollback.

I'm going to be completely honest, I think this game is great. I play a lot of fighting games but this one genuinely some of the most unique and inventive mechanics I've seen. It's probably not objectively the greatest or most polished game out there but I appreciate for what it is and what it sets out to do. good lord i want ange to suplex me holy shit i want that sooooo bad oh my god plEASe i need it
