This game is fun, is it perfect? No Certain parts of the story are unexplained (unless they are solved in Vertigo 2) and the enemy count can sometimes be overwhelming. But the majority of this game is fun like the weapon variety and the art style. While I probably would have not gotten this on its own I recommend getting this in the Franchise Bundle.

Pretty good game, shooting enemies is enjoyable and very fun. Good variety of levels and gameplay situations. But its also very short. So, the next stop is Vertigo 2!

it’s a fine vr game to get if you’ve just finished half life alyx and need to scratch that itch a lil further. story is minimal which i thought was kinda lame until i started vertigo 2 and realized what a blessing that was, and there’s some fun weapons here! pretty much every weapon doesn’t require both hands, including the minigun, which i found benefitted from single handing. this is also the only vr game ive played which includes a grenade launcher and that by itself is fun to use even if its unlocked in the last 30 minutes of gameplay.

If you like Half-Life, this is about the closest thing I've played in VR (Alyx aside). It's surprisingly well-done for a small indie dev -- there are a lot of smart design decisions, and not nearly as many rough edges as I've come to expect from titles like this. The guns feel very nice to handle, and the teleport mechanic feels pretty great as well. Easy recommend if you enjoyed Half-Life... just don't go in expecting the Valve level of polish, and you'll have a blast.

Vertigo Remastered stands up there with Half-Life: Alyx, Boneworks, and Bonelab as a must-play VR game. While not as polished as the former, which would be an impossible bar to meet, the vision and attention to detail here is unbelievable - especially as a solo dev project. This game does as much as it can to make VR as fun as possible. It feels like every weapon and tool has been designed to do something interesting, and most of them are enjoyable simply to mess with in a toy-like way. For example, the baton you get early in the game, which constantly emits a field of particles that flow and react to your movements. Or the hand-held teleporter, which acts like a physics-based stream of water that you can whip around. Each level is paced well, and for that matter so is the game as a whole, with puzzle elements, moments of exploration, and lots of setpieces throughout. It's just great. I did not expect to be enjoy this nearly as much as I did.
