A great little game that sets out to do one thing and does it perfectly. This is a team combat racing game, that is easy to pick up and play, and difficult to master. It lets you play as the insane speed maniac orks of the WH40K setting. The WH40K ambiance is on point and there's no orkier game around. Just hearing players scream "Waagh!" in chat will bring a smile to your face. The art direction is great, and the graphics really look like the WH40K figurines. The weapon and engine sounds in particular are superb. The combat racing is team based, and while I generally hate multiplayer games, here even if you suck you can feel you're making a contribution, even if that's adding orky chaos to the proceedings. There are two play modes which are quite different: one where you score points racing through several rally-style tracks and other where you deliver bombs to your opponents’ mobile fortress while avoiding your own from being bombed. Appropriately enough, you can always get points by destroying you opponents, and hunting you enemies and/or blocking their advance is a valid strategy. The vehicles are all fun to play, easy to learn, and relevant to the gameplay. If you switch vehicles frequently, you'll notice there's rarely a moment you'll say "bummer, this one sucks". They all have their strengths and weaknesses and can play a role in all race modes and stages. All I can add is, kudos to the developers, the game is great and deserves a bigger player base. Get krumping boyz!

"Fix da netz, give us more dakka, and dis’ll be da best game since Mork headbutted Gork!

So dont let my playtime fool you, I played the hell out of the beta and it was great, zero issues - honestly. Then the game launched....and woah boy.... couldnt even connect to a single game no matter what. I wasnt the only one with this issue, so I joined their discord and started giving my take in their general chat room. After some discussion with other players and moderators, one of the devs reached out to me and other's with the same issue to bring us into a test for the fix. Not only was it amazing that the team behind this game was actively listening and responding, they brought the players into the process of fixing it IMMEDIATELY and they FIXED IT! I have had ZERO issues since and that fix took probably 6 hours total? from others having it to me and then being fixed. No micro transactions shoved down your throat. The game throws back to twisted metal and its Mad Max meets 40k. 16 USD for something this polished is a steal, jump in, go really fast and blow up stuff, then jump out when you need to for real life. 11/10

I don’t think I have ever written a game review, but the unique charm of this Speed Freeks and the tough situation it is in compels me to speak up. It’s clear this game was made with a lot of heart. Maybe it’s ignorance on my part, but it scratches an itch I’ve never felt satisfied by in any other title. I love the Ork fantasy setting, the distinct abilities of each car. The customization system is also a pleasant surprise—currently tied to in-game challenges instead of locked behind DLC (for now?), which I really appreciate. The maps are large and thoughtfully designed, with enough environmental obstacles to make every race-and-gun battle require just the right amount of strategy—without losing the adrenaline rush you’d expect from high-speed combat. That said, the game isn’t without issues. Matchmaking is a particular pain point, and at launch there were only around 250 players online. While the bots do a solid job filling in for missing players (in my ammeter opinion), I’m genuinely worried that the game might fade into obscurity due to a rough launch and limited marketing. It would be a real shame, because the foundation is here for something special—if the developers can justify investing further time and resources to polish it. If you're even mildly interested and can afford the price of admission, I really encourage you to give it a fair shot. If you run into matchmaking trouble, try restarting the game and see if it grabs you before the refund window closes. I think you’ll know within the first hour whether it’s for you.
