This is a good game that is close to being a great game but is held back by some flaws. An isometric racer with the 2 main gimmicks being that everyone is on screen at once and that the only way to get kills is to shove an opponent of the track. I love the way the game looks, the car designs are amazing. The gameplay itself is pretty fun, and the weapons feel good to use. The track design is well done, even if they're all unmemorable in layout and theming. The primary racing mode is fun, but the absolute highlight of the game is Death Race, where you survive trying to evade a gigantic steam roller. The entire game's mechanics feels balanced around this mode in particular, and it's just the right amount of chaos. If the entire game was just the Death Race mode, it would still be worth it. However, there are 3 things that hold it back. Keep in mind I have never tried multiplayer so this is purely from a single player experience. 1) - The central gimmick of having all the vehicles on screen can be frustrating since it can cause people to group up in the back and make getting ahead way trickier. This also makes player recognition harder as the cars can be difficult to decipher when there is a lot happening on screen. It's a gimmick that hurts more than it helps. 2) - Some of the bonus missions for story and star track are ridiculous. Things like reaching absurd amounts of points in one race, getting a specific number of kills or getting something with a specific weapon type can be frustrating to obtain because of the random nature of the game, it feels less like there is skill involved in beating these challenges and more pure luck. 3) - The King of the Hill race type is genuinely miserable. It is way more frustrating than it is fun, and some of the bonus challenges here are really annoying since you are trying to stay up front instead of getting kills.

Experienced on the Meta Quest 3 You can view my Steam VR gameplay here: https://youtu.be/xXFfGJ0kJ8o I'm not sure when it happened, but BlazeRush does now have official VR support. It didn't use to work. Now, it only "technically" works. I say that because it works on the Meta Quest or possibly Oculus Rift if you use Link Cable or Air Link. I could not get it to work using Virtual Desktop or Steam VR. So I can NOT confirm if it works on any other headset or through any other method. It does make you wonder why VR is listed as officially supported since nowadays few people still use Link Cable or Air Link. In any event, I'm happy that it does work in MY case. This was one of my favorite racing games in the old days of Oculus Rift PCVR. I spent several hours in this game there. Good times. I basically just did this review as a PSA though. Hopefully, it helps someone out there. Rate ?/10. I bought this game! Silly, fun little game. It reminds me of old school rock'n'roll racing from sega genesis. On sale is definitely worth it.

its chaotic fun but it relies a little too much on luck. Worth the money if you get it on sale.
