i like the funky white boy music that plays when you run around in the main hub, it makes me feel like a circus performer, but my performance is falling from a high surface, and absolutely destroying my balls on someone's crusty ass laminate flooring, followed by getting maliciously sent into orbit by a middle aged Japanese man. Needless to say, would have my balls destroyed again.

You have to have a lot of hate in your heart to hate this game. Fantastic levels, aesthetic, gimmicks, and writing make this game a near perfect experience. Only complaint is that dashing feels kinda jank. I love katamari.

This was my first time playing a Katamari game!! So this review will be for other newcomers that aren't comparing Reroll to the og games, etc. The movement/camera during the tutorial made me worry that I was going to dislike/refund it, but once I started playing the actual levels, I got the hang of the controls. The movement is Supposed to feel a little stiff because you're pushing a heavy sphere. Don't let a couple wonky tries discourage you from pursuing the game! I do not recommend playing with keyboard whatsoever; if you don't have a controller, I don't think you'll enjoy yourself. The music is fantastic and lively. Something about it, combined with the game's weird little premise, makes me feel happy and enthused. The colors and aesthetics are great. The item and character designs really wrap the game with a cute bow. My favorite thing was collecting all of the cousins. Lean into the game's shtick, don't ask why things are odd, and enjoy the sounds of screaming people as you roll over them like an adorable bulldozer. This is a fairly short game; there are about 20-ish levels that you ideally play through 2 or 3 times each. I don't think I'd pay full price for it, unfortunately. If you're unsure about whether this title is for you, wait and get it on sale. One must imagine Sisyphus small, green, and happy to be here.
