I played the game when my internet was out, so guessing that's why my 10 hours of gameplay didn't track. Anyways, it's a pretty simple horde survival game in the same vain as Vampire Survivors, except it's in 3d and at an angled Bird's eye view. I wouldn't call it "Hentai" as its more of an Ecchi game as there isn't any nudity or any adult scenes. At most, it just has some basic fan service where the protagonist does a few poses with different body types caused from the side effects of the plot related devices. The story itself isn't really much to talk about. She goes on a quest to collect potions that a Demon creates and stashes through the Demon's kingdom/forest that the Demon uses as a snack, more or less. The protag searches for these potions to try and switch up her look for her wedding. The Demon is upset that she is taking these potions without asking and threatens the protag. Protag doesn't listen and goes to fight the Demon to shut her up. Demon already did Protag a lot of favors, or at least vaguely hinted at, so Protag isn't likeable as it's a selfish quest that she's on. Story is pretty simple and straightforward, enough to get an idea of the two characters for the plot. Gameplay is pretty good, though I do feel like rounds are quite short, but considering you have to go through various stages, it makes sense to not drag things out. Generally, the Succubus potion route seems to be the strongest "meta" to go with, while the Feline potion seems to be the weakest all-rounded, with the only thing making up for it is that the Feline seems to have the strongest end-game, but it's only strong once you reach the very end. Before reach the very end of the Feline potion build, it's just very underwhelming compared to what the other potions provide. Overall, you can complete the game, all the potion routes, buy all the power-ups and the three difficulties in about 8 hours. For $5, that's a pretty good deal. The fan service is pretty whatever and you can't really mix potions as the protag only ever displays the first maxed potion path you've collected, so no reason to really max the second potion unless you're trying to min-max. I recommend the game for the gameplay alone. I should probably mention that I do enjoy the music and the art was nice. Decent amount of enemy variety and no pain-points from what I was able to experience. The performance itself is pretty solid and I'm able to maintain very high fps (700fps) through my time playing, so optimization is good and within expectation for a game of this caliber, being a very simple 3D game. If I had one complaint to make, it would be that there is no keybind to enable and disable auto-aim. Starting off, you want to have auto-aim off or you'll have a very slow start at leveling. If you turn auto-aim off at the beginning, you can easily double your progression as most of the time, auto-aim misses or chooses the worst target to go after. If the devs could add a bind to enable and disable auto-aiming on the fly, that would improve my experience as I need to open the menu and go into options to disable and then enable auto-aim. Bit of a hassale, but doing this makes early game allows for faster level progression.
Sometimes a game gets made and you think to yourself "I am the target audience." I have never felt more targeted as a consumer of games then when I play games made by Chowbie. Between busty Gothic nuns and witches with big hats, dev takes every niche I enjoy and slaps me silly with it, and I enjoy it. Game is your standard bullet heaven game, if the standard was having a witch with an oversized hat. And as the saying goes "the bigger the hat, the greater the witch."
