April 2025
Fun little base-builder/army-maker with a fairly lighthearted (as far as the zombie genre goes anyway), spoof-tastic story that while not an epic page-turner by any stretch of the imagination, was still fun to play through (so far). Combat felt a bit clunky at times but was more than passable for anyone capable of basic problem-solving skills or that doesn't always need the bestest, smoothest and easiest-to-operate experience possible. Very much a "casual" game where you run around, try stuff out, splatter some zombies, and goof off until you run out of content and ideas to try. *Post Game Notes* Great Idea, not-so-great execution. Game has more than just puns on someone who's known for... debatable quality products, it genuinely feels like something said pun-sake would put out and demand 200$ for (though thankfully isn't priced nearly that high). While there are ways to deal with the game's flaws, some of said flaws just really have no business being there (looking at you, crappy terrain-mapping full of hangup spots). The core feature of using zombies to fight zombies was (likely predictably for veteran gamers), locked to basebuilding and a few toddler-level-uncoordinated NPC allies. Allies that you end up relying on in the late-game areas to stay alive in extreme hot and cold weather, creating a "reverse-take" on escort quests, with the same fun-killing result as the original while you watch your escorts fumble about, get stuck on EVERYTHING, randomly run away from you, and make absolutely sure you know what it feels like when you're asked to try and babysit someone's little sibling from the other end of the screen. The interface is choppy, with it's 2.5D operation translating poorly with the 3D entities running around on-screen, resulting in a "walk with WASD, look at your cursor (sometimes)" system that frequently has you swapping targets unintentionally or flat out swinging a completely different direction than you were aiming. Again, not terribly difficult to get the hang of and play around, but that doesn't make it "good" either. Still recommended for more casual players and goofballs alike; but if you're picky (or have escort character PTSD) then you've been warned; this game will likely piss you off. Probably frequently lol.

this is a great game, you can tell lots of thought went into it (i can't really explain without spoilers, so i wont) a fantastic throw back to the silly, simple, and fun times of the 90s/2000s very little hand holding, simple vague clues that lets you actually engage your brain for a moment (ZERO yellow paint <3 ) =========== [Cons] - spam clicking for hours is awful. they need to let you hold click --- some weapons do let you hold click, but the vast majority dont - combat feels like its missing something --- maybe blocking, maybe a cooldown, maybe CC, lots of choices - base building felt like it was going to go a lot further then it did - the blue zombie build hints get old fast --- they actually do give good information sometimes, but they go so slow and are so repetitive that actually watching them is painful after the first 5 --- the first one you watch is fun, maybe the 2nd.. the 10... kill me - dismounting is extremely slow and clunky - the pacing of unlocks was a bit slow - exploring early has no real payoff, this is really a linear game but the other areas are all open immediately (stick to the quests, exploring early is pointless) =========== overall, i think this is kind of a hidden diamond in the rough. if you can grab it for under 20 bucks, its probably worth it

Recommended for "How to survive" fans. No any glitch or technical issues during playing. Nice story, and a good final. A perfect game to get relaxed after a long day or just during a rainy one.

It's a decent game, you'll probably get bored before you finish it though. The whole "protect the base" aspect needs to be done better. It isn't very good and half the time the waves are sitting around somewhere on the map getting stuck on the way to the base. Whoever built the controls around the lady in the wheelchair that you have to push around deserves to walk on a floor of nothing but LEGO for the rest of their life. Get the game on sale, play it for a few hours and put it back on the shelf.

this game exceeded my expectations! Although i only have 40 hours the game play didn't get stale with the different weapon combinations and zombot builds you could use. its both perfect for sitting down and playing for 20 minutes here and there when you have time, and also a great game to binge all day! the story was quite captivating and very easy to follow, i also love that it doesn't take itself too seriously. the only negative thing i have to say about it is i feel like some animations are way too slow and really pull you out of the vibe. other than that it was onw of the best and unique games i have played in a while!
