This game is never far from my mind even after all these years. So much replay-ability through different missions, stories, characters. The solution to the central mystery being randomised every time. An absolute recommend.

This might be my favorite RPG, that I have played in a while. Certainly, the best western themed RPG I have played. I love the charm of the game. I fell in love with it as soon as I heard the music. It might be short but has a lot to discover, and with a few playable characters it has replayability. Every NPC can be interacted with, can have a minor or major role in the playthrough, and can not be replaced, which means that they can be killed. I felt so guilty, when with my first character / the Gunslinger, I just met my sister and sent her to the Fort, where it got attacked and she ended up dying. There was no way to bring her back, I could only try another playthrough and hope that she survives that time. I love the references, adore the music and ambiance. I thoroughly recommend this game, 10/10 for me.

The gentleman's Red Dead Redemption. An awesome Western with a ton of replayability and freedom of choice, in an open world full of flavor. Buy this before the stupid a55h0les at Warner Bros remove it

This is maybe one of the best Western genre games but there are still some annoying bugs and the devs have been too lazy to fix them since launch.

I remember playing the original Westerado on Adult Swim Games.com back in the day when it was just a flash game, one of the better ones of the time. Back then it was just a little indie passion project of the creators who wanted to make a fun free little game, so I was pretty excited to see they adapted it into a Steam game. At first I was expecting a cut-and-paste of the original flash game, but was surprised and quite pleased when I saw all the new content they added and expanded the storyline as well as adding new characters to play as that added some replay value and changed up the playstyles. The passion in the creators vision is evident throughout the game and it's very nice to see. There are nice little subtle details that tell a story within the story, such as the motion-picture flipframes in dialouges that imply the whole thing being shot as a movie. The main feature this game has that makes it memorable is that it gives you the free choice to do anything. Most notably you can pull your gun on anyone at anytime and shoot them, even during dialouges/cutscenes, and characters always have unique reactions to you doing so, in some rare cases it's an option to advance a questline or gain a characters respect. there's always the threat that they can do the same to you. It really helps to immerse you in the "wild west" feeling of the game, where rogues and scoundrels and cowboys lived by the draw of a gun. You can be an honest lawman, a bounty hunter, an investigator, or a mass-murderer and the game and dialouge will adapt to your choices. The game itself is rather short but feels very open-world despite its small size and has lots of mysteries that are fun to uncover. If you're looking for a fun little roleplaying adventure that doesn't require too much time or investment this is a good title.
