This game was such a calming, meditative balm during a rough time for me. Quiet and satisfying. Is this what people get out of doing real jigsaw puzzles? I gotta start....

Lovely from start to finish, arranging those puzzles without knowing the end result sure gets endearing, with the game often tossing in pieces from other similar puzzles to trick you into thinking they're related. Every few puzzles solved, you get rewarded with a package containing new puzzle pieces, and also an occasion to chat with (or more accurately listen to) the postwoman, Sam ! So yeah, Wilmot Works It Out is a chill (litteral) puzzle game with a nice little story going, there's also a marathon mode where you get every puzzle pieces in the game in a random order that provides a nice challenge after finishing the game. Try it out, it's neat !

I didn't play the other Wilmot game, so from the perspective of a jigsaw fan... This game *gets* what makes jigsaw puzzles fun. It’s about observing the finer details of a colorful image, and recognizing surprising patterns as they emerge. The game achieves this through a tightly curated selection of puzzles, with similar textures from separate puzzles playfully mixed together. The puzzles are fairly small, making them fast-paced and lacking the contemplative quality of a larger puzzle. But marathon mode mixes all of them together, so it becomes like one big puzzle.

I was a huge fan of the first game and enjoyed the demo. This is a really accessible game for people that may not normally like videogames. Wonderful soundtrack and lovely artwork, along with subtle storytelling that builds a comfy game that's a joy to play

yea, wilmot, my man, this time we'll work it out!! i honestly don't know what they put in these games. that's a second Wilmot game, it's about sorting out the space and solving puzzles, and it's super chill and relaxing, in the way that I can't stop playing. this game really does something to the autistic part of my brain. it's comforting in a way that it's comforting to rename folders on your computer, and to arrange books in order that makes sense only to you, and to show someone photos of birds on your phone the loop is genius: you get a package with details, it has some pieces of the puzzle and maybe some from the other puzzle. you solve what you can, put it on a wall and get a new package. it has a new puzzle and some more details from the previous puzzle or maybe from the next one. so it really gets you going. i'm stopping just because it's 2am and i completed first two chapters of the game i love the feeling of figuring out what i can solve, i love the feeling of things clicking together, and i love that while you play every 5 minutes you get the feeling that things make more sense than they did before the art is beautiful and fun, the soundtrack is just PERFECT and jazzy and gives the ~vibes~ and super comfortable for your head while playing. awesome tunes, i'll listen to them while working too! so yea, if you're looking for a chill lil game, check it out. it might not change your life, but it made my life better for sure. warm hugs to the team, you are the best!!
