I got Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory as part of a Wolfenstein bundle in September 2023. The game is free anyway, but I never tried it before, assuming it was an old multiplayer game with inactive servers. As expected, most servers are quiet, so I created an empty server to explore the gameplay and level design. Enemy Territory is an early 2000s World War II multiplayer shooter. It blends fast paced shooting with objective-based missions, giving each map structure and purpose. Even alone, the maps and objectives are easy to follow. ET Legacy is an open-source project that improves the game and adds extra options, though I haven’t tried it. Overall, the game works well as a multiplayer shooter. Even with few active servers, the mechanics and maps are well made.

Never mind, apparently this game does work on linux? It wouldn't boot no matter what even after a restart, but now it does? ??? Whatever, if you want to play Return to Castle Wolfenstein online, this is very solid. Probably won't become the online FPS of my choice or anything, but it serves its purpose well, and for free.

If you like counter strike or call of duty or even battlefield, but own a steam deck or have an older computer, this game is by far one of the best to match or even beat those newer games, it has classes and multiple gun load outs, 2 different sides, many maps, servers 24/7 with decent bots and worldwide players. It may not have the best support, but others in the category lack that too. They probably have most of the copyrights for fps and still holds weight in the gun games. Cult Classic, decent graphics, and mods galore. Keep the hacking down.

Small. Explosive. Different. It's a match-based team multiplayer game at under 300MB. Think 'Day of Defeat', but with a bunch of B.J. Blazkowicz's. Runs a bit ♥♥♥♥ because it offloads everything to the processor. Enjoy!
