This is mainly a competent FPS Game that is in the vein of High Concept Sci Fi Shooters of the past, but despite gunplay being mostly alright I absolutely enjoyed the unique Utopian Setting for this game. This was two years before Doom 2016 and 4 before DUSK and it ends up feeling more like an Arcade Shooter than it does anything related to the current slew of Indie Shooters out now. I mean, you never get world building this interesting nowadays unless it's in a Big Modern Shooter and the Utopian setting is like two years before Overwatch, so this game was doing things that really hadn't been seen before in the FPS Space. The fact that the military has been dismantled on the planet because of a reactor that can have infinite resources, thus making world peace is actually intriguing. I really think the best parts are the technical bits and world building. The graphics are also pretty nice, this would fit perfectly into a graphic novel series. But really, the gameplay isn't fantastic or anything. I played on Medium and some of the boss fights were tedious especially the last one, not to mention having the rocket launcher splash damage instantly kill you is BS, not even Classic Doom on Hurt Me Plenty is this harsh when it comes to Rocket Splash Damage. It's certainly not as polished as games like DUSK or Turbo Overkill, but there is a sense that these guys were trying to do something new here. I like it overall, it feels like the Milky Way Chocolate Bar of video games, it's small, tastes nice and is good for the short term. I don't have much else to say other than I thought it was very crappy that they decided to end the game on a massive cliffhanger. Thankfully a Remake and Sequel are being made, so lets hope the other episodes will be ready to play soon as this was just Episode One shockingly.

Six hours on this game feels like a lifetime. I was glad that it was finally over and I managed to even get through it. The graphics are decent and it runs good. I liked the steam achievements and the art style. The game hits some walls early on though. It is challenging but annoying at the same time. The revive system doesn't make any sense because you can just quick save a lot. The game is story short and not too special. There is no voice acting and the ending leaves you hanging. Just snatch it up at the lowest price you can run through it quickly.
