yeah, GIBBING RATZ is cool...but the soundtrack completes this game. We know the DnB songs by name. There's no variables (-internet), just full skill expression. Base game maps goated, community maps, BETTER CALL RATZ!!! Their discord has a feature which pings other players when someone joins a lobby. If no one is in your lobby, give it a few minutes and you'll have some friendlies hop in. Can launch + start a match in literally less than 30 seconds.
Preserves exactly why instagib (and rocket jumping) was so popular in the Quake era of shooters; though as usual for arena shooters you're going to need to find people willing to play it with you beforehand because finding random players via matchmaking is rare. But since it's so simple to get into and the music's perfect for it, this one's easier to recommend than usual.
I picked this game up when it was on sale for $2, and I INSTANTLY loved it. The movement is so smooth, the gun is precise but forgiving, and even the bots you play against while waiting for players are really fun to fight against. My only critiques aren't much of anything, just know that Mouse2 is how you rocket jump, and I'm PERSONALLY not a fan of the rat faces, but I can barely see them with the saturated blue I use for enemies, so it doesn't matter lol DEFINITELY give this game a try, especially with friends. It's a shame not many people play it.
