XS is a pretty good OVR Toolkit alternative. It's lightweight It doesn't tank my performance like OVR does sometimes The wristwatch is more fun My only issue is the unresponsive touch input, i need to hold my trigger for half a second to click or sometimes i can just tap it. wtf?

XS Overlay has a easier interface and uses less computer power than something like OVR Toolkit. I find it to be delightful when setting up for a live stream as rather than fight with other tools to behave.

i think that this overlay is what i expected it to be, it is fantastic though my only gripe is that my media player will bug out and only show one song after using it for an extended period of time with no way to fix it other than having to restart the overlay completely.

XSOverlay is currently the best overlay for vr comparing it to the other overlay apps like OVR Toolkit XSOverlay has everything that you need -Well optimized -Standard time and date -Media controls -Performance monitoring -Controller and tracker battery monitoring -Preset layouts for your overlay windows -Lots of settings for accessibility and customization Having used OVR toolkit years back and having tried it every once in a while since then to see if its improved enough to compete with XSOverlay with 300+ hours i always come back to XSOverlay instantly and i dont see anything changing in the near future ALSO XSOverlay has some fun easter eggs so thats a fun little extra on top

* Desktop control * Media control * Performance metrics * Battery tracking If you're streaming, playing flatscreen games, optimizing performance, or using FBT, this is essential. Valve should buy this and make it a default part of SteamVR. It doesn't quite replicate ALL of the features of OVR Toolkit, OVR Advanced Settings, and FPSvr but it's pretty close and this should be your first purchase before trying out other solutions
