A lot of people recognize that the gameplay loop gets stale after about 7 or so hours. For me, I was able to get good enough items and perks to last a very long time after around that time. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but, at least in this stage, I can agree that it becomes a stale feeling. On a good note, out of all of the "survive while hoards of enemies spawn in around you" type of games, this one is my favorite. It feels a lot more intentional with you being able to pick up weapons in game and being able to fire them with a lot of intention. In my own opinion, adding variety to the gameplay would go a long way in making it feel better to play. My first idea is to implement more Zombie Variants. Elemental Zombies Zombieville 3D has a few elements you will find on guns. There are the obvious ones: flamethrower, cryogun, thundergod. Some guns will also be enchanted with flame or freeze. It doesn't seem too far fetched that there would be elemental zombies as well. Freezing ones could slow you down, but melt away to a flamethrower, and Flaming ones could light the player on fire, but be extinguished when frozen. Prize Zombies One way to make gameplay more engaging would be to see a sort of enemy that actively runs from the player, or runs aimlessly in a tricky to catch manner, that would drop coins, a power-up, etc. It might be fun to chase them down through the clusters of zombies. Boss Zombies I want to clarify that I don't think they should seek out the player, but instead there could be big or tricky zombies that haunt certain areas of the map, and killing them would be another objective to do, like collecting Z coins. There should be a necromancer in here somewhere 100% Purpose I do really think there should be some form of objective in the game. Maybe there is a mode where you have to escape, or have 3 objectives you have to complete per round jetpack joyride style. Right now, the only objective is to survive and collect Z coins, and when I play this game I am always looking out for Z coins because they are an objective to complete. Do you see though how that doesn't really seem like it should be the only thing for the player to look out for besides survival? When I get in the zone of just killing zombies, I really like this game, but that too I feel could be better. Often times I will hit a zombie from the right, and they will lose their left arm and fall dead. Not that notable. There should also be more gore. When I toss a grenade into a mosh pit of zombies, I want to see the grunt's bodies flying in all directions. I want to see them fly and hit the ground with a fleshy splat. A smart way the map could be further utilized could be to add stairs or whatnot to allow the player to go up on top of buildings. Imagine being up on a building and knocking zombies onto the ground below you. That was always my favorite way to kill enemies in Dying Light. I'm unsure how the dev would implement this and not make being on high ground over powered, but it could be very fun. Maybe zombies on the towers attack the player by grabbing them with their tongue, and the player has to get up to them and kill them. Not sure how to make the player leave though. Finality I like this game. I am not trying to discourage anyone, I just want to hopefully spark motivation into the developer with my ideas. The ability to fight and manipulate in this game surpasses what you usually see in swarmer games like this. Not to mention the graphics are really good and customizable. If you are thinking about getting this game, it's definitely one of those unwinding games where you don't have to think a whole lot, but it's still playable in all the right ways. I am a fan of the perk system and the gun leveling system, and I really do hope we get some good updates for this game in the future.

I remember playing the original zombieville game with my cousin on my iPod touch for hours on end. My nostalgia goggle may be a little too tight, but I can't wait to 100% this game.

Great base game-play, here's my criticisms: Pros: -Great base gun-play, guns feel weighty and satisfying -Aiming system is clean and satisfying -Aesthetic and shaders look good -Good wave timing - lets you have a breather sometimes -Physics-based elements and animations are cool -Overall a really satisfying base -Great visual design for what's there - Good sound design Cons: -Limited enemy variety (however, the current enemies are visually distinct which is good) -Melee feels a little flat, maybe adding heavy attacks or some other small skill-based feature would be nice -Rogue-lite system feels slightly dated, wish each character had their own unique features, and maybe fleshing out the weapon upgrade system and perk system - Gets stale after 15 hours - No abilities you can gain during rounds Suggestions: - Add mod support, if this game had modding it would be peak - Add more enemy variety, maybe some bosses - Add more random modifiers or perks you can find during the round, think Vampire Survivors - *Couch CO-OP is a must* - Random events that happen during the game, (like a circular wave of runners, or powerups like COD zombies has) - Add more maps - More gun customization - Characters have unique benefits/drawbacks - Add damage numbers as an option - Think about the zombie variety of Plants vs. Zombies, would love to see something like that - Some zombies should have more pickups then just weapons, maybe ammo reload or fire breath or something Final thoughts: Satisfying base game, that with some work or mods, I could see myself pouring many many more hours into this game :)
