I went into this game completely blind, and though it has some problems, I can say this game is great! Some of the characters in this game are the most likable of any game I've ever played, especially Tuya. Also, Miaoye is the exact kind of girlfriend every guy needs lol. The story is interesting and even some of the more uppity characters, like Toffee, end up not being that bad and have a bit of a redemption arc. That being said, I really thought this game would focus more on the store-management aspect of the game. If that's what you're looking for, this game is not for you. I figured it would mostly focus on running a store with some fun anime characters, and though there is some of that, it's quite minimal compared to the story/character development. There's way more reading than there is dealing with numbers, buying, selling, and business things, especially near the beginning of the game. Also, it's very clear this is some hardcore thinly-veiled Chinese Communist propaganda lol. All of the voice acting and achievements are in Chinese. Though there are English subtitles, they were obviously written by someone who isn't a native English speaker. Some of it reminds me of the kind of stuff you might read in one of those spam scam emails lol. But you can get what they're saying and honestly the wonky English is kinda charming and at times hilarious. This game is surprisingly funny! But as far as the propaganda goes, it's obvious the monster world where all of our heros live and are from is supposed to be China. The human world is the west, especially the USA. I mean the leader of the humans, who causes the monsters all kinds of problems, just so happens to look exactly like a conservative president who also happens to be in office right now and hasn't really had too many positive things to say about China. Of course the human world is always taking advantage of and oppresses the monster world, claiming monsters are immoral and undeveloped, and yet there's never anything bad done by anyone in the monster world that isn't caused by evil humans and monsters who side with them. Lol also, words like "capitalist" and "imperialist" are frequently used as insults even though most of the heros of this story are all business people. And though there is a heaven and hell in this game people can get sent to, the "swinders and capitalists" often go to heaven because they can buy their way in. The communist views of capitalism even govern how the underworld, heaven, and hell work in this game. As far as gameplay goes with the store management aspects, I wish there was an ability to focus on the store after the main story ends. I'd like to still have more interaction with the characters, but it would be nice to get to spend a lot more time on the actual store instead of it being kind of a background part of the main game. The game is broken into 42 weeks. Customers buy items throughout the week based on how popular the store is then on Sunday everything bought is shipped out (paid for by the government) and a score for the week is given. Each day you can perform one action, but there's so many that it's absolutely impossible to see everything. As the story progresses, you can visit other locations multiple times, each time allowing you to sell one new item. To stock up on items to sell, you go to a place to buy items with the trick being to buy them when they're cheap and marking them as not for sale. Each week what is expensive and cheap changes, so then hopefully the things you bought for cheap last week but didn't sell can then be sold once they become expensive. But once the game ends, almost none of your progress transfers over if you start a new game except for what you've unlocked to sell. It takes forever to unlock items, so the only way to really get to the point where you've unlocked everything is if you play through the game several times, but the story is the same each time so you'll have to play through over and over skipping through tons of dialog. Also, there's a few decisions you can make throughout the game that drastically changes when/how it ends, but there's very few. It would be nice if there were more dialog options so you could choose to be closer to or snub some of the characters. In conclusion: Great game! Great characters. Communist propaganda to a certain extent, but that's okay. The shop management is fun but a very small part of the game. Great music. And the character design itself is very well done! I've already played all the way through twice and will probably try a few more times just to see if I can possibly unlock some of endings or parts of the story I haven't seen yet.

Alright game, though note that this is purely a visual novel. "Management sim" is... 0.1% of the gameplay.
