When I started it it was kinda okayish and a decent timekiller on the side. Two days later and I'm absolutely addicted and can just grind it for hours at a time. Great game. Extremely addicting when you have a good endless run going

Well I certainly played it enough that me giving it a thumbs down is a bit disingenuous, but it's always the things you like that disappoint you the most, you know? I'll give it a thumbs up, but I'm not really happy about it. I just don't think downing on a well-made indie game has any merit if it managed to entertain me for this long. The creator is doing a decent job of creating new content and keeping the ball rolling, and I don't mind that there's basically only one mode (endless, cause once you beat it on normal there's no real point in doing anything else). However, this is ultimately a story of poor balance and missed opportunity. 1. Many elements were haphazardly thrown together without much thought. Enchantments are terrible unless you're doing the build that lets you scale to thousands of them randomly. Most advanced piece combinations don't make any sense to do, and a lot of potentially good ones aren't even options. Some pieces, like the dumbells, are straight up useless (you can max out your crit in so many ways). Due to confusing wording, it's very difficult to even know what a lot of things even mean, especially the coder/maid, because the piece combinations get so complex to the point of arbitrary results. I could go on, but the point is a great idea was really lost in the lack of details. 2. The game just doesn't scale well. First of all, I despise fusion pills with a passion. They screw up any semblance of a rational/controlled build, but they're also necessary to get past a certain point. Also, the fact that enemy health/damage scales with YOU means no build or strategy really matters because the enemy always rises to meet it. If the game had just been balanced to begin with, that wouldn't be necessary. I could definitely get to stage 500 and possibly beyond, but it'd be the result of thousands of nonsensical combinations fused together outward into infinity. It stops being fun by stage 300, as fights drag on and you stop planning out your build so there's nothing really left to do. Then your computer starts to lag because a thousand pieces fused together with a thousand enchantments each does not a happy make the CPU happy. So yeah, that's my gripe. A game I like has a terrible end game and strategy component, and I want to keep playing but I feel like there's no satisfaction to be had in doing so.

Pretty fun, very cheap, bag builder. Cute graphics, and runs well even on a tater. A bit slow at first, but once you unlock a few sets, it really takes off. Runs take about an hour, so that's a plus as well.

An enjoyable, addictive game. There is a reasonable amount of strategy - although nothing too complex (well it does get complex, but decisions are still quite easy). The games go on a little long. First try I beat normal mode. Second try I beat the first 'round' of endless. Third try I have to call a stop to my run after beating stage 200. The reason is that fights are now taking 15 minutes to finish due to my computer slowing down too much. My damage is up to quintillions (not sure why the game calls quadrillion as P and quintillion as E though, should be something like Qu and Qi as typical shorthand) and it's all getting a bit much for my poor computer. You see, later in the game you get the ability to fuse multiple units together - so I fused and fused, and then when fusing refused to work anymore I started to exclusively purchase shapeshifters who then merged the different fused groups together making nests of items 8 or so levels deep. Now after one fight I have over 10,000 items in my inventory (mostly potions). The game started to use two tactics to break my run down - the consumption of 3 random items when prestiging to a higher unit max level - and new monsters that destroy the lowest card on the screen. Unfortunately didn't work. All NPCs are maxed out with upgrades now after only my 3rd run - although there are still normal upgrades to purchase. I would request some a bit harder difficulty normal run - with higher rewards as motivation (although not honey related, as that currency is already no use after 3rd run). It is a great game though. A lot of unit types to play with - the ability to direct to 'packs' of units you would like to play with - and some nice merge dynamics where you have some fun decisions to make about whether to take a unit or not based on groups you are trying to work with (hint: be selective and be willing to pick none quite often).

I really hate that you have to unlock more content or choose pure power upgrades with the meta progression, the initial content is awfully restrictive, you basically get 3 pieces to play with so you have to grind to get more content before it becomes fun. (I've unlocked 3 more packs of around 4-5 pieces in 1 hour) But overall, its cheap, its fun after grinding some unlocks, its not too long of a grind at least. I hope there's increased variety of actual choices and strategy in the future, it's a bit linear so far (with the 4 pages of new pieces, maybe that will be fixed but that will be quite a long trip)
