Scarier but not as fun as Exit 8, [PLAY EXIT 8 FIRST PLEASE] This is a sequel to that game as well. although this game is absolutely beautiful, even better then the last I think i wouldve prefered a simple not complex filter over it just to add to the vibe but i love these graphis. for Exit 8s its main strength was its creativity and puzzle focused gameplay. It relied almost entirely on psych horror to be terrifying (Im a wuss so i found it scary). This mixed with the need to be incredibly observant and make decisions every sequence, made it a very fun and interesting puzzle game, and horror game. Platform 8 takes away your need to be observant its more of a rail roaded adventure (Pun intended) you dont need to search for anomolys unless the game tells you too, In fact the game tells you to pretty much do everything you need to do, and blocks off your other decisions so you cant make a mistake. It feel like your watching yourself play the game more than playing it. Its still cool and unique and i await the next game from the creator(s?) They tried something a bit different and i dont think it worked out, however for the price its still defenitly worth it, and i hope they take what they learned from this project and add it to the next, as they do some really cool ideas here.

This game serves as a decent partner game/prequel to Exit 8, but in my opinion, Exit 8 is far superior. While Exit 8 has more of a puzzle/mystery/search vibe, this one feels a lot simpler. The anomalies in this game appear at predictable times, so there's no real need to actively search for them. They're interesting but pretty obvious and easy to avoid, making the gameplay less engaging. In contrast, Exit 8 builds a lot of tension that makes you feel more isolated and on edge, something this game lacks. That said, it is still an immersive experience and comes at a low price, so I would recommend it if you're into this type of genre. However, if you can only pick one, I’d suggest choosing Exit 8 over this one for a more tense and challenging experience.

A great experience. Since Exit 8 i've become really fond of the "Anomaly Game" genre. Shinkansen from Chilla's Art, Route 8, and whatever the name of that one game from Itch.io is. All have been great experiences and I was curious how Platform 8 was going to live up to its predecessor. I am happy to find that there is a small-ish change that they implemented in P8 that shakes up the gameplay in a good way. Without spoiling too much, the goal now is learning how to DEAL with the Anomaly's as opposed to simply finding one. This change allows for the game to stand on its own without deviating TOO much from others in its genre. Good stuff and I really enjoyed this.

Japanese transit has a ghost problem. It's a similar concept to the first game, but I feel it's both much easier, and more disturbing. It's much easier in that progress doesn't get reset if you miss an anomaly, and it fact many times you will be gated from proceeding further until you finally spot it. They're also much more obvious this time around, and there seem to be fewer of them, though perhaps I've simply missed a few. I found the anomalies to be more disturbing both in the type in question, and the fact of being stuck in a small fast-moving metal tube with them. It plays well with the claustrophobic confines. I DO like it overall, but I'd recommend The Exit 8 a bit more.

Ok at first I was like "what is this, Exit 8 was so great and this is trash" but actually I liked it. The mechanics are different, so don't misunderstand. The only thing is that for sure it's shorter and probably not that hard. Some anomalies are a bit hard to figure out, but they are all nice. Very cool endings really, no spoilers.
