Okay........I LOVED THIS GAME A LOT!!!!!!! Everything about it was perfect. All of the weapons, all of the platforming, the implementation of all of the skills you earned throughout the game...perfect. Everything about it was fun. I played it on the easiest difficulty (Story) because I've read that it is a difficult game; as a semi-casual semi-serious gamer I was not let down by the difficulty. It definitely was not too easy, and I didn't feel like I was wasting my time. I fought every monster I saw and earned all of the currency I needed to unlock all of the health/potions I needed by the end of the game without having to grind which is something I really appreciate in a game. There were a lot of bosses and they all felt unique and fun in their own way. Something that I liked about this one was that it was very linear for a metroidvania - you were always being sent directly to a new zone after earning a new powerup without having to wander around guessing where to go at all, which is something I appreciated (but know this if you do enjoy the wandering and don't "want your hand held"). Overall this game was absolutely amazing in my opinion, it was definitely worth my time. It is an absolute STEAL at the current sale price, but I would recommend getting this on sale because it was short. Regardless, you'll be able to get a TON of enjoyment out of this one at your own difficulty preference when you do give it a shot, you won't regret it. 10/10
A tremendous fun and thoughtful game, with really nice play mechanics that are fun and intuitive without being exhausting. I had a good time playing this, final boss is a mother but after grinding away for awhile i finally conquered and felt accomplished in my mission to complete the game. I definitely recommend this to any one that is a fan of dark metroidvanians and adventure games. Hopefully these creators do more, looks like i have some exploring to do. Thanks for making this game
a short, wholesome metroidvania! surprisingly various weapons and upgrades for a little game. decent music and actually a not bad story. bosses were fine. overall it was a standard experience. i loved the game and replayed it to get 100% achievement. its not as smooth as those popular metroidvania games but its definitely worth the try.
8/10 Great little game. Great music Great art style Good controls Cool story, felt unique. Started off a little slow but as you gain abilities every hour or 2, it makes the gameplay much more engaging and less tedious. Glad there are save points fairly often and the boss run backs are the perfect length (im over the usual MV grueling 10+ minute boss run back-obstacle course) Coulda used a bit more color and the controls coulda been a little more refined but it’s easy to get use to and part of the charm really. Feels Indy. Worth the buy. No brainer if it’s on sale.
