A good beat-em-up with a very simple visual style, I couldn't finish it because I got bored of it quickly.

99 Vidas is one of my favourite modern examples of Beat 'em up genre. I absolutely love the visuals and the variety in playable characters. The upgrade system gives a bit more challenge to the game, as you make the best decision on how you spend your points in the shop. One of the best parts of the game is the soundtrack. It captures the essence of Yuzo Koshiro's Streets of Rage music and complements the on screen action perfectly. I'd love to see a sequel at some point, and this is something that is teased in the ending sequence.
