Sokoban: 5/5 ⭐ Difficulty, Real World: 5/5 ⭐ (Not too difficult nor too easy.) Difficulty, Dream World (End Game): 4/5 (Not too difficult nor too easy but tedious) Controls: 2.5/5 (very annoying controls.) Good Sokoban, overall I'd give it 4/5. Unfortunately, the controls are awkward and annoying to move comfortably. In addition, it has some weird control mechanics that you will learn at the end of the game but are not obvious at first related to the bench (read Dream World). The game is neither too challenging nor too simple; you can play at your own time. I earned the achievement "Butterfly Collector." I initially assumed that it meant "game completed" because the achievements are misleading, but I later discovered that it actually meant "complete the 'Real World' without cheating." This is considered cheating: if you exit the room and reenter to redirect the snowball in a different direction, thereby granting you an advantage. Don't do that; just be sure by restarting the level, press 'R'. As an additional recommendation for accomplishing the achievements. After completing a snowman, giving them a hug, is another achievement. After "completing" the first world, it is not really the end. In all honesty, it is initially a little confusing. I believe that the design is subpar due to the absence of any direction or suggestion within the game during this transition. # Dream World You now enter a new world colored red with benches only, with the same layout. Go to the first room, Lucy, sit on the bench, and hit it again to lay back and fall asleep. Now you will "dream" and return to the original room with Lucy in the real world. Lucy's room has an open gate below; go through the gate and enter. This is a "mirrored world" with a purple tint; sit on the bench and hit it again to lay back and fall asleep. Now you're in the first level of the "Dream World", colored red with only snowball. How does this "Dream World" work? Rules 1: If you move the snowball, it will lose the snow. Rules 2: As before you need 3 snow balls. Cheat: In this phase, there is no penalty to go outside the room and reenter using other door to build the Snowman, actually you need to do this, you'll realize almost in the first level. Achievement: There is only 1 achievement in the Dream World when you completed, which basically means you finished the game. If you did not complete the hug achievement in the real world, you can obtain it here. How to do the levels: Go to the "mirrored world" (or "real world" if the snowman is badly misplaced), undo the snowman with 'R', and redo the snowman closer together. Sit on a bench and fall asleep. In the "Dream World" the snowball will be closer. Now, if you try to build the snowman, you can join them together or roll it on the snow on the ground without losing any snow. Build again the Snowman, the Snowman will glitch. This means you finished a level. Repeat until you finish the Dream World to complete the game. After you build your first Snowman in the Dream World, the other rooms will unlock. Go down to the other rooms in the Dream World, you can pass through the red walls. If you stuck, use the guide below. Dream World Guide: Dream World: Level 1: Lucy, Andy & Tanya Level 2: Paul, Chris & Priscilla Level 3: Hellen, Sally, William Level 4: Alex, Louise, Alice Level 5: Julian, Kate, Rebecca Level 6: Adam, Jessica & Amelia Level 7: Willow, Cynthia & Michael Level 8: David, Jack & Jill Level 9: Sarah, Freya, Alan (Alan & Ben) ---------- Level 10 and Level 11 Level 10: Zoe, Richard, Ben (Alan & Ben) Level 11: Rob, James & Matthew

Fun cute little game, some of the last puzzles were challenging but rewarding. the butterfly and dream world mechanic were not clear which I found annoying. I thought I was smart by solving a puzzle using the exits, but had to find a guide to realise that was the "wrong" way. I did end up getting 100% butterflies which was a nice challenge. Also after solving two puzzles in the dream world I decided to call it quits because the rest just seemed like a chore. I would have preferred if the game ended in a more gratifying way.

Super simple puzzle game, makes for a cozy afternoon playthrough. Easy to complete in about 3 hours. That said, get it on sale, the full price is far too much of an ask for what is admittedly very little content as good as it is.

A Good Snowman is Hard to Build is a great game of building snowpeople out of three small snowballs that each grow larger when you roll them over fresh snow. Later segments have you build two or three figures at once. The game is very charming and pleasant. Getting a full Steam Achievement run, however, is highly difficult. After completing the game, I discovered that I had not done three puzzles to a certain standard. Two were easy to reassemble properly, but the last one I needed a full video walkthrough to accomplish properly. Then I solved the first puzzle of the optional epilogue using a picture guide. Staring at the remaining tasks ahead of me, I decided I was quite done with this game. High marks to the devs for taking a simple concept and iterating on it to a ridiculous extreme.
