April 2026
I am a big fan of Devcats and have played most of their “hidden kitty” games. Despite my general reluctance to embrace feline friendships in real life, I admit that I have taken a shine to Fofino and Lily. Plus, I'm a sucker for games that help out a cause close to my heart (animal rescue). A Planet Full of Cats is another worthy title. Hundreds of cats to find, a story to follow, and a chance to be a cat hero. A new mechanic was introduced which required you to find invisible hidden clouds using X-Ray vision (similar to finding objects in a dark room with a virtual flashlight). The game autosaves on exit and most achievements are story related. If you open the entire map and perform all quests, you should achieve 100%. There are no speed runs (which I appreciate) and no penalties for using hints. It took me about 10 hours to complete the game. I thoroughly enjoyed saving the Planet Full of Cats. However, this game seemed a bit more repetitive than previous titles. Instead of diverse mini games, there was a handful of similar puzzles and multiple “boss fights” with the same mechanics. I was glad to see that these “fights” had no time limits and that the monsters waited patiently for me to find hidden objects and bring their health to zero! My only criticism is that there were times at which I had no idea how to proceed and I traveled the map, trying to figure out where to go next. Although the map has quest markers, it still felt like a bit more guidance might have been provided. Or, if one had access to “fast travel” earlier in the game, that might also have reduced time wandering. Despite the repetition and occasional lack of direction, I still found this title to be one of the better “find the feline” games that I’ve played. I highly recommend it! I love Devcats freaking much!! And with this new banger game, they have managed to increase my love for them even more! ↬ The story is more of a focus here than in the previous games, which I personally think is fantastic. There are many little puzzles, and the fact that you aren't explicitly told what to do makes it all more exciting, because it makes the world feel truly explorable. (I read that in future updates their adding questmarks, so you know where to go) Some of the hidden objects were really hard to find, but it was still incredibly fun to finally find them. Honestly, I found it quite funny how blind I sometimes was. I don't understand the many negative comments, because sure; there are new elements and not everyone can handle or like them, but the Devcats Team tries their best to take all feedback seriously and optimize the game accordingly. At least give it a try. Buy the game and support stray cats and animal shelters with your donation, Nya~ So hoomans, spread more love and leave the hate behind! 𖾕𖾝꙼ᩚ𛲕𖾟 ~ 𝑳𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒚𝒂 ⋆⁺₊⋆♱♡♱⋆⁺₊⋆ ≽^•⩊•^≼

Very good as always! But a Hint button would be nice. Edit: The Hint button is in the game, but it has to be earned as an upgrade, because it's a metroidvania game, with upgrades, deep story and a lot of puzzles. Also, I didn't quite expect to spend whopping 8 hours on a hidden objects game and even less I expected such depth and variety of gameplay! The game is completely worth it.

I was literally shedding tears and losing hair, struggling to find those spores and tentacles. ( probably had lost more hair than my cat, and we all know it's shedding season :)

I will automatically buy any DevCats game the second it releases. I love the style and the studio and I want to support them. This one feels more involved when it comes to story than past installments, which is incredibly exciting. That said, I've already encountered a few bugs, and I'm genuinely at a loss on how to progress with where I'm at because there's a lack of guidance here that is stalling me. Wondering if the bugs I'm encountering are halting my progression somehow. Either way, I would always recommend purchasing and supporting the studio, but wish this one was a bit clearer in direction or had further QA done before release.
