⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Abandoned Souls felt like stepping right into a found-footage horror short film—and I loved every minute. Playing as a video-blogger exploring that decrepit hospital via a GoPro lens made every dark corner and distant whisper hit harder. The sound design and visuals are seriously immersive, and the few jump scares genuinely surprised me. Clocking in at about an hour, it’s perfect for a quick scare with depth. Really enjoyed this one. 5th game of the 9 I got from JustTomcuk’s bundle. Although it is short at under an hour, I felt it was a little bit longer than his games usually are. There was also a lot more notes/backstories to find, which I really enjoyed. Graphics were great for what the game was going for. I normally find jumpscares to be cheap horror in most games because they’re overused so heavily. But in this game, they are few and very well placed/timed. The few times they happen, they got me REAL good lol. I appreciate that JustTomcuk seemingly prefers his horror elements to mainly come from the atmosphere in his games versus cheap jumpscares. The atmosphere in this game is very thick and unsettling. I’ve said this in reviews of his games before, but I really wish he could produce a longer game with a higher budget - I can’t even imagine what kind of craziness he could come up with!

So when you go to a haunted house at a halloween event, thats basically what this is, in a good way. There is a bit of story but its mostly just atmosphere and scares. Probably wont take you much more then an hour. But that hour is a good time.

This game was very creepy. But not very scary. Most of the jump scares did not get me. Highly Recommended though, if you like horror walking simulators, or just walking simulators in general.
