It is...ok I guess. It just is not Act of War which was what I was hoping it would be. I bought Act of War after this to play it again, both Act of War games are still unbeatable to this day!!! Wish they would just remaster Act of War and call it a day.

This is not just the sequel to C&C Generals we never got. It's like a reimagining, that adds a lot more to the toybox.

A fine RTS but its classic recipe lacks seasoning. It doesn't break any new ground or improve on the RTS games that came before in any significant way. It's a mashup of techno-thriller tropes with cut-and-pasted mechanics from Command and Conquer and Act of War. There's not much new here. That being said, it has plenty of pros: Runs on old systems, decent graphics, and interesting unit design and map variety. The pacing of skirmish battles seems a bit slower than other RTS games and the AI isn't too challenging, making it ideal for casual players. I do appreciate the commander's view when you zoom out all the way. This features makes it easy to keep track of all your units on the large maps. Overall, it's a 7/10 that RTS fans looking for a bit of variety will appreciate. It doesn't deserve the hate that some reviewers have heaped on it, but it should be priced under $15 given the strong RTS competition out there.

If you loved C&C Generals/(Zero Hour), You'll love the advanced features in game with an updated/modern (decade later) feel. I Continue to play this every time i want a "More in Depth" feel to the overall C&C Generals game play. Overall: definitely want to add this to your library...
