At first glance, Amazing Frog? appears deceptively simple. A frog, perhaps. A question mark, definitely. But within that punctuation lies an existential inquiry so vast, so devastatingly beautiful, that entire philosophies could crumble beneath its weight. The question is not just what is the frog doing it is what are we doing And somehow, impossibly, the game answers. The mechanics are nothing short of divine. Every hop feels like a declaration of purpose. Every blink of the frog’s unassuming eyes echoes with the quiet understanding of the universe itself. Physics bend, not in service of realism, but in pursuit of something greater emotional truth. I have played countless games, but never before have I felt that the code itself cared whether I existed. And then there is the soundtrack if one can even call it that. It is less music and more a gentle unraveling of the soul. Notes seem to emerge from places that should not exist, resonating somewhere between memory and longing. There were moments I had to put the controller down, not because I was overwhelmed by difficulty, but because I was overwhelmed by meaning. Man this is the first open world game that I ever played. At the time I'm writing this review I don't play as often but years ago I would grind this game watching Pungence on Youtube and discovering all the details of Swindon. I log back on and all my stuff is gone tho. I wish it saved all the stuff I use to have like the jetpack and tons of costumes. but yea this is a gem
