TLDR: Fun for a while, but kind of annoying on the achievement end. For the price I think it's absolutely worth picking up if you are a fan of the genre and like these sorts of strategy/management games. It's a fun time figuring out all the mechanics for the first time and progressing through the endgame. My biggest issue comes from the very lategame where you are just trying to grind out the achievements... unfortunately the balance is kind of bad in this game and from my playthroughs at least there was no feasible way to beat the combination of energy gain + relentless fishing. It got a bit boring farming up to the 10,000,000 and 1000 days achievements because it was so samey. I understand not everyone is an achiev goblin like me so for the avg player I think their experience will just be positive- pick it up when you want to and take it slow type of game. The price for the hours of content you get is absolutely undeniable though. It's definitely worth the money, just tread lightly if you're a big completionist.

This is a good farming rogue-like that I picked up for cheap that despite lack of tutorial is well recommended. Because I had no tutorial I almost didn't beat it the first try for not understanding. So you're farming day-by-day and you have limited actions each day before a new day happens, refreshing energy, market prices, abilities, new spawns and outcomes of actions. So you'll plant a field, put some pickled food in cans, chop some stone for the cutter..... then collect the next day and re-fill machines etc.... and then you try to buy machines and upgrades to farm new products that sells for more. The ultimate objective is survival.... Like Balatro or Luck Be a Landlord, you're paying rent or ante to stay ahead of the requirement. If its cheap on sale again, don't sleep on this one, its quaint and a fun challenge and deserves some support at the price I bought it for.

For $3 the game is surprisingly thorough, there are many forms of making money in the game but most are based on crafting some resource into something better by the end of the game. Some are better than others in regards to time and effort but can mostly still work just as well. I enjoyed messing around with different strategies throughout my time and it is surprisingly entertaining. The only issues with the game that I can see currently one or two QoL improvements which are not that bad, and the late term achievements for the game are virtually impossible to get without free play mode. One thing I will note is that this is a good game for achievement hunting if you feel like skipping the normal gameplay reset loop and just max out stats on free play. This game on low difficulties is simply a lot of fun, but if you feel like taking a challenge there is always hard and ultimate difficulty which will remove most of the fun, but the challenge for people like me on that is totally worth it. What I really mean to say after all of this is the game is $3 just buy it.

This game desperately wants nothing to do with roguelikes while claiming to be one. It's actually closer to a harvest moon with a Recettear-like goal to make money or lose. Really unbalanced in the favor of the player. You'd be hard pressed not to stumble on a combination of events and abilities that makes the game a walk in the park an hour in... and the entire run will likely take 4-6 hours even if you say fuck it and stop doing unnecessary things and only do the most profitable thing. Lacks QoL things that should be there because they're that obvious and on top of that it adds limited inventory juggling for artificial difficulty. It's not that deep. You can play through 2-3 times and put it down forever.

It's fun. I'm kinda stupid so some things were hard to figure out but I recommend it. It's simple but requires some attention and management. you need to actually plan ahead (or don't and struggle lol) 10/10 considering I play really easy (no challenges and normally 5-6 week rent. maybe I'll try smth a little harder because it gets easily repetitive when you play like this lol). I like the graphics too. Very simple and great colors, easy to look at for hours at a time. Controls are fairly straightforward (somethings were hard to figure out like splitting a stack. Nothing you can't find out quick though)
