I quite enjoyed this game but also I am unemployed. I recommend this game to other people who don't have a job.

Anthology of the Killer is… weird. It simultaneously feels much smarter and much dumber than it appears. It is a looping satire of everything it touches, almost becoming a satire of satire itself. It is an incredible example of what video games can achieve not purely through a ludic perspective, but as a narrative medium. The first thing you notice when jumping in is the lucid mix of colorful, Microsoft Paint-like doodles and surreal 3D environments. It is bold in its simplicity, which further reinforces the ridicule of everything happening on screen. The soundtrack adds a lot to the atmosphere - it fills the empty spaces, and I genuinely wish I could listen to it in daily life just to turn an ordinary office walk into a trip through the layered, backroom-like architecture of BB’s apartment complex. The narrative, as I mentioned, feels oxymoronic. It has no real value outside of the experience of the game, yet it feels so alive, so consistent and holistic, that after finishing several parts of the anthology, I needed a moment to process what I had just witnessed - almost like after a David Lynch film, where multiple layers of interpretation compete at once. The dialogue is sharp and often genuinely funny, with the grounded and sarcastic BB acting as a counterweight to the surrounding absurdity. Because BB treats everything as ordinary, you quickly start doing the same. The game is, as the title suggests, an anthology: nine short segments (around 20 minutes each at most), plus a few extras. Each one takes place in a drastically different setting and satirizes something distinct - high art, morality, layers of immersion, and more. I initially wanted to rank them, but each entry feels too different, even though they are clearly built from the same creative DNA. It is fun, and it makes you think - maybe more than it objectively should. It is such a specific and inventive vision that you rarely encounter something like it today. Anthology of the Killer is, in a way, vapid. It floods your brain with ideas without committing to any single one. But that is also where its value lies. It is, first and foremost, art - and as with any art, its meaning comes from personal interaction. I would strongly urge anyone curious to try it. It is not the best story, nor is it particularly strong mechanically. What it is, however, is one of the most creative experiences I have encountered in recent years.

What's inside? I'll never tell. I feel it moving softly in my Steam Library. That's regular. Don't think about it.

It was great and I liked it a lot. What is it about though? Accelerationism? Peter Thiel? Hyperreality and simulacrums? I guess I understood the history aspect. Am I an idiot? Maybe.

Shortform horror with insanely clever writing, oozing personality. Each story felt so dense in its ideas/themes/criticisms despite being presented in the form of seemingly effortless jokes, I had to play in short bursts so I could process for a bit. Just excellent
