The story is definitely the focus of the game, with the gameplay just being a medium to tell it. There aren't many characters in the game, but they are very likeable and sympathetic. The concept of the story isn't entirely new, but very interesting and well executed here. The gameplay is intuitive, though also rather simple.It's primarily a tool for story telling. Sadly, I don't see much point to replay in the game, other than to get some remaining archivements. But the way the game ends you probably don't want to start over anyway, since it ends at a very satisfying point. However, this is something to be aware of. I feel like the game was originally planned to be bigger / more elaborate. While the game has a very good ending, I wouldn't complain if we ever got to see more of the world and characters.
I genuinely did not have any expectations when I started this game. I thought it was another typical visual novel game, but I was terribly mistaken. The art, the experience, the interaction, and the dialogue that slowly revealed the truth behind its creation was phenomenal. It was a short but satisfying adventure with Alice, and am happy to say this is one of the best games I've tried out there. Highly recommended!
