A somewhat short but very atmospheric tactical shooter. The game sets you up pretty early to recognize when you're going to be in a gunfight, and will have you constantly checking corners the moment you move through rooms. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't more game. I thought the story was quite interesting, and it felt like it just sort of... ended. Like something barely in the middle of a longer journey. Still highly recommended if on sale!
Ever since grandpa left the fog has always been around. The crisp air always awakens my soul a little whenever I take my steps on this path. A stranger sits with me but in his quiet and still mask I know we're more conntected than one, we are here, in competition and in companionship, in a brotherhood. The radio is my only escape but it gives me memories I've never quite lived. I'm tired... so tired of the bullets and the violence I summon into existance for a box. I feel it jab my back as each step lands in the sand. Maybe a nice warm cup is all thast needed, I think I would like that. - A Rook
F*CKING FANTASTIC ! What an excellent game. This should be a whole new sub-genre in boomer shooters... THE TACTICAL HARDCORE BOOMER SHOOTER. The immersion factor in this game is off the charts. Enemies are deadly, one to two shots can put you down, you gotta move slowly and make your shots count as ammo and supplies are scarce. I cant believe how good this game is, and never having heard of it. 10/10 from me... hopefully the dev makes a sequel or an expansion because this game is rock solid. I cant praise it enough. If you like slower paced tactical shooters and boomer shooters - this is an easy buy !!! *** SAVE OFTEN***
Short but beautiful. Apocalyptic Vibes feels more like a mod than a full game, but I guess many issues come from the engine itself and what the dev made possible with it is commendable. The game can be finished in a few hours and it is definitly not worth the 20 bucks. Get it on sale like I did. What makes me recommend is the absolutely perfect atmosphere you don't find in many other post apocalyptic games. Pair that with the hardcore firefights that make you feel like this world is dangerous and you got a good, but short story of a lone courier in this barren world.
