this is a super fun fantasy visual novels for all enjoyers of the genre. it's witty, thoughtful, and just like any good fantasy, comments on and parallels our real world. for anyone who wants them, here are my pros and cons. pros: - the character arcs are great. it's so interesting to see them grow as people, and it's a lot more rewarding that we get the choice to influence their pathways and their choices, just as real people influence each other. - it has the perfect amount of choices for a visual novel. you can actually establish a personality, opinions, and relationships. - the story is super fun and entertaining, and though stuff like magic and alchemy are common in fantasy stories, it doesn't feel overused or like something that's already been done - the voice acting!! i love it cons: - i don't really have anything overtly negative to say about the game, but i will say that if you want a visual novel with more detailed romance, this isn't it. the romances are cute, but very superficial and are not really any different from your relationships with any other characters in the game. if you want a game with more romance, i'd suggest the following: a date with death, obscura, scarlet hollow, andromeda six, and i was a teenage exocolonist. overall, this is a super fun playthrough, and due to how many choices you get to influence so many different aspects of the game, it definitely has a great replay value.

Amazing game. I'm not done with it yet as of writing, but it's phenomenal so far and I've been hooked One suggestion, could a light mode be added? With my astigmatism, white on black is really really hard to read and it makes it difficult for me to focus. I end up focusing more on reading and less on remembering and enjoying the story because of it :c Everything is blurring together ;-;

Fairly short runtime for its price, so maybe get on sale. I would say the average playthrough takes maybe 12 Hours tops unless you use guides, then maybe 8~9 (probably even less if you don't sit and listen to all the character's banter between fast-traveling, like i did...) Only reason i have 80hrs is because I would repeatedly travel to hear banter interactions + i'm a slow reader + I replayed the game a couple times + the alchemy recipes kicked my ass the first time i was tryna figure 'em out. I Wish there were more character customization options & dialogue choices in general... Especially for romance routes! It felt like the game ended before anything really picked up, so if you're going into this for the romance; it isn't mainly a "dating sim". It's more storyline/lore focused, and having romantic interactions with the characters is very secondary to all of that. (Also it's criminal that Mime isn't a romance option she's so cute bro?!) The story itself is also quite basic (Especially when it comes to the Outlanders.. that concept felt very shallow.) but overall it was also weirdly charming, in a way that felt like I was playing a classic fantasy adventure game from the 90s... Nostalgic, despite being predictable & basic. I personally think the most compelling aspect of the game is figuring out the Alchemy crafting, and filling your recipe book. It's very simple, but very fun for what it is. Honestly I just wish there was more of it! Hopefully the sequel will have more of this? Anyways, overall, pretty enjoyable. You get a cool lesbian grandma mentor so that's awesome.

I wasn't too sure about this game, my interest started out pretty high and then wavered a bit. I took a month to pick it back up, but it really got to me by the end. I cried, a lot. It's good. Play it if it seems at all interesting to you.

I really love the characters and the story is cool and I thought the puzzles were pretty fun! Definitely played it more for the story though. I also thought the worldbuilding was pretty interesting, especially on the history front. It was a bit shorter than I was expecting after the demo, but hey, 7 chapters isn't bad for the price (especially when it's on sale)! I finished it in just a few days (though I haven't gotten all the endings or anything), which should give you an idea how much I enjoyed it. Also made me cry a few times, and I got a fair number of laughs out of it.
