Overview: This game offers a few hours of entertainment if you can grab it on a sale, but it suffers from unfinished features, bugs, and a lack of developer support. While the gameplay concept might hook you initially, its technical shortcomings and abandonment by the devs make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. Strengths: - Casual Fun: If you're looking for a game to kill a few hours, it delivers on light entertainment. - Accessible Gameplay: The core mechanics are easy to understand, making it suitable for casual players. - Potential: The concept is engaging enough that you might enjoy exploring its systems—until the bugs hit. Weaknesses: - Abandoned by Developers: With no updates or fixes, the game feels incomplete and unsupported. - Persistent Bugs: Texture glitches, unsaved repairs, and other issues significantly detract from the experience. - Unfinished Content: The last level being impossible to complete highlights the lack of polish and care in the final product. - Short-Lived Fun: After a few hours, the enjoyment dwindles as you encounter the game’s limitations and bugs. Final Thoughts: This game is worth picking up only at a heavy discount if you’re fine with a buggy, unfinished experience. It’s good for a few hours of casual fun but don’t expect long-term engagement or any future updates. If you value polish and replayability, you might want to skip this one.

UPDATE: Initial bugs seemed to have been fixed so changing my review to Recommend. If you enjoy the slow pay, low key repair and you'll enjoy the game. Echoing the other reviews, very buggy as it stands. Repair the walls, then paint them and the damage appears again. Might change the review in the future but as of now the game is in need of a major hotfix.

This game is fun, pretty short play time at the moment, I have 11 hours in and have completed all of the arenas, I wish they had a better way of snapping items in place would be nice to put lockers in without the gab or trying to space them perfectly, otherwise a fun game to kill time in.

This game has been on my wishlist for years so I was excited to get the email saying it was available. Since I've played so much House Flipper I found the controls a little clunky at first because I was automatically going to HF controls but once I got used to it I found myself not getting as frustrated with it. (Except when I had to keep switching to hand mode just to move scaffolding!) As it's early access there are still some glitches (I think someone else mentioned about lag spikes during auto saves). I also noticed that some furniture doesn't have the green or red outline when you try and place so you have to look out for the pop up saying there isn't enough space to place the item. There is also A LOT of freedom with item placing (the tiniest nudge can mess up a perfect line of lockers!) But you're not told what items to use, you just have to place a certain number of items per room which is shown by percentage. I would still recommend the game because, even with it still needed to be refined, I enjoyed just sitting back, cleaning and revamping the locations. I will definitely continue playing and looking forward to future updates! P.S; I do feel that there needs to be a bit more context to the story, maybe something about us or the jobs we're given? Why are we fixing it? What happened? ect.

So, been looking forward to this one for quite a while, as it seems to have been on it's way FOREVER, and I find I need a middle ground between recommending it and not recommending it. It's a shame, because it's been a long time coming. It's Early Access, sure, and the price is fair for that reason, but House Flipper it ain't... nowhere near. If you're expecting something along those lines you may be disappointed. There are little glitches but no crashes (on my system) so the game itself seems solid enough, but there's not enough there for me right now. It needs some polish. For instance, the soundscape could be enhanced to reflect the surface you're walking on and the type of thing you're smashing up. Flooring and wall surface can (and will, no doubt) be extended to more than just tiles and carpets. The animations are just a little too basic. Also it let me power-wash a fuse box with no consequences, so there's that. There's also no real reason why I'm renovating this place... Have I been hired? Do I own it? Am I doing community service for a crime I didn't commit? I DON'T KNOW! There's a lot to do. BUT... don't let me put you off. The ambition is great... you can renovate freakin' STADIUMS (when you get there) and, let me reiterate, this IS an Early Access game for less than a tenner. There's massive room for improvement and I'm hoping it'll come as the development progresses. So I'm sticking with it, and I'm looking forward to seeing it progress into a decent title.
