Skipped this game for years because I thought it would be lame. I came from Left 4 Dead, Dying Light, Resident Evil, etc. Thought this game would be a joke compared to those AAA titles. Little did I know, this game has fantastic gunplay and the horde mode alone is worth buying the game. Pleasantly surprised!
Well, this game is quite a ride. I haven’t played many VR games yet, but a friend and I decided to give this one a chance because we wanted to play something in VR co-op. I have to say, we rarely laughed as much while playing a game as we did here. I really like the freedom you have when it comes to taking down zombies. The weapons are fun to use and feel great to handle. The graphics are also pretty decent, although they don’t particularly stand out. The main character has some genuinely hilarious lines as well, which adds a lot to the comedy of the game. What I do think is missing, however, is a memorable soundtrack that could have elevated the experience even further. Overall, this game is really just a fun five-hour break if you’re looking for a fun co-op VR experience. And honestly, I think that was exactly the point. So I’m rating it mainly from that perspective. We laughed our asses off and had a great time from start to finish. (For VR) Gameplay - 10/10 Story - 8/10 Graphics - 8/10 Pacing - 10/10 Optimalization - 10/10 Soundtrack - 6/10 Audio - 9/10
I didn't read much about this game prior to playing it. I was looking for more exploration in a VR shooter without banging rocks against trees. It wasn't what I was looking for, but it was well made and smoothly running game in my experience. Very arcade, it's a short (2 casual play afternoons to finish in my case), linear shooter game that is fun, frustrating, then fun again. I was entertained, but probably won't play again anytime soon.
This game was great! I think it deserves a 10/10. - Gameplay was very smooth and easy to understand how to play and use all the weapons. - The commentary wasn't dry and boring for a desert set environment the devs sure added the spice with this one and you can be sure to laugh guaranteed at least once if not many, many, times. Lol - The main story length was around 7 hours which is perfect for a VR game, and if that isn't enough for you then they also have DLC and a horde mode to keep you going in the endgame. - Pricing is great, rather the game is on sale or not, it's worth every penny!
