This feels like a lost 360 game that came out after the success of Bioshock. I mean that as a compliment. Very similar to Resident Evil Village in structure (hub area that branches off to the several "Lords" you have to find), and very similar gunplay. Exploration and secrets remind me of Bioshock. You definitely feel the budget at times, particularly with the simple AI of the large stalker enemy Dolores. Enemy variety is also very lacking, at least 5 hours in. Maybe the game gets old or ♥♥♥♥♥ the bed in the back half, but so far I think this game is a must buy for anybody that enjoys more narrative focused FPS's like RE:Village, Bioshock, or Singularity. I'd recommend it if it was 30 dollars, but the fact that it's only 17 is insane for the quality on display. EDIT: The sun mechanism puzzle in chapter 3 might be worth uninstalling and not finishing the game

I'm only 5 hours in and I think this game is very unique and fun. It's a mixture of Resident Evil (7 or 8), Blasphemous and Bioshock. The art is incredible, the voice acting is spectacular and on Martyr (hard mode) I'm having a really good time. Please give it a try, we need more games like these and less AAA 100+ hour games. We need to support this kind of art, as it's slowly being lost to time.

I ended up enjoying this game more than I thought I would. For a small studio, they did a pretty good job. It's not without its faults of course, but still, a good game nonetheless. The good: -The environments were really nice. The story was good. -The movement and gunplay were decent. -The music and sound design were for the most part pretty good. -The majority of the voice acting was decent. -Exploring the levels for collectibles was a fun side activity as you made your way to your objectives. -The puzzles were really well done. -The carnival hub area provides a nice little break between chapters. The bad: -The lack of contractions in the main characters dialog was a little weird but tolerable. -The voice acting for Mediodia was like nails on a chalk board. Her character did not suit the type of game or the atmosphere at all. -Changing your key bindings has a negative effect on some puzzles as the game doesn't seem to realize you changed some keys. Resetting the controls to default fixes this, allowing you to complete the puzzle, then you can rebind again. This was annoying. -Some areas are designed to prevent the player from revisiting previous sections, like a gate over a door, elevator who's buttons stop working, wood covering a squeeze through spot. None of it makes any sense and there seems to be absolutely no purpose in doing this other than to screw the player out of getting collectibles. This is just bad game design in my opinion. I can understand the "Final Chapter" being the point of no return, but blocking off areas before that point is garbage design. -There are 3 instances I can think of where I missed freeing the birds because they couldn't be heard. This is annoying because the game tells you to listen for them but as I mentioned, in those 3 instances, they can't be heard at all. -Then there are the bugs and glitches, like collectibles not counting, so you reload only to notice the collectible is no longer there to be collected and never counted on your list, hahaha. -Parts of the level will unload as you progress, and if you go back to pick up that syringe you left or to claim the blood of an animal, sometimes the level doesn't reload and you're left staring at a bunch of gaps where there are missing assets. -Buttons that don't work, like the "right click" to exit credits. For me at least, the button wouldn't work so I had to sit through the credits, credits that are so long they outlast the music, so you have to sit in silence for a while waiting for it to end. -The enemy variety is too low. You'll get bored with fighting the same enemy type through the entire game. All in all this was a good first game from these developers and I look forward to seeing what they do next.

A tip: use the intel upscaler instead of TSR. It will be better for performance. Cheers! So I finished the game in 9+ hours on the highest difficulty. Cons: - Heavy, highly unnecessary use of yellow paint. - One skill is not working as intended (20% chance to get a syringe after absorbing blood over your health limit). It never activated once in my whole playthrough. - Not enough scares - The game pulls its punches in difficulty (only died once in the whole campaign) - Dolores Pros: - A nice, quality game for the price - Not as linear as I expected - Guns feel good to shoot - The climax is a blast - Enemy variety is alright for its length (though i feel some were introduced too late in the game) - Some puzzles are quite challenging - Medodia (I like her)

This game is soooo good. After trying the demo, I figured the game would be a 40 dollar Bioshock copy, but it's not a copy, and it's only 18 dollars. It draws influence from games like Bioshock and Resident Evil, but it has its own identity and style. The atmosphere is really good, the graphics look sharp and clean, and the game is quite optimized for an indie studio using UE5. The protagonist is different too in that he clearly is a fanatic chasing other fanatics; it almost feels like a rivalry that you heard of before with classical Greek gods, but Spanish themed now. Very excited to dive into this game.
